The minimum eligibility for admission to Ph.D Biotechnology at JIIT Noida is Post Graduation +UGC NET.

Minimum Qualifications:

(i) 1-year/2-semester master's degree program after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree program or a 2-year/4-semester master’s degree program after a 3-year bachelor’s degree programme in respective discipline with 60% Aggregate marks or CGPA not less than 6 on a scale of 10.

(ii) 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree program with 75% Aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA.

(iii) M.Phil. with 60% Aggregate marks or CGPA not less than 6 on a scale of 10.

(iv) A relaxation of 5% marks is provided for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category.

(v) Consistently good academic performance is desirable

Admission Procedure:

(i) Candidates to satisfy the requirements of minimum qualification specified above. Candidates appearing in the final year examination of qualifying degrees can also apply. They will be required to submit a mark sheet of the qualifying degree on or before the date of registration.

(ii) The eligible candidates will be required to appear in the Ph. D. Entrance Test of the Institute.

(iii) Interview will be conducted for all the candidates.

(iv) The eligibility criteria for direct interview shall be determined as under UGC-NET / CSIR (JRF) or equivalent national level examination candidates (only those who have qualified for fellowship and not for Lecturership only
