Placement are good .As if my department has recently added so can say only that max package was 16lpa and hope for more better placements of our seniors . So yaa placement are good here can be said so doesn't matter .

- The college is too green. Lot's of places are left vacant.
- The campus life is great and it's having nice people to interact with.

- The course curriculum is too hectic and regouros.
- The campus is quite big to travel. It takes time to travel anywhere in between the campus even.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course curriculum is good enough. As I'm in aerospace it's having good facilities at IITK. They have many laboratories along with flight strip, National Wind Tunnel Facility (NWTF) which give good exposure in practicals too.

Campus placement of IIT kanpur is good. For Mtech students(EE) the average package is 30 Lpa. Companies like Qualcomm, Texas instruments, Analog Devices e.t.c are coming for campus placement. Iit kanpur has 90 percent of placement

- Dominos, Cafe coffee day, Central Library all are fabulous.

- Girls ratio is good but it will good if it will increase more
- Hall 14 which is a hostel of IIT KANPUR for new mtech students is in still construction
Placement Experience:
In electrical department placement is 100 percentage and minimum package is 20 lack in vlsi profiles. You will get placement for sure. Here in first phase only mostly students get placed and if anyone left then they will placed in second phase of placement.

- Sports facilities are good for every sports and provides a good stage to perform.

- This year placement is not good due to economic slowdown and less efforts from Student Placement Office.
- Air pollution is there and AQI is almost 300
Placement Experience:
During the third semester of the master of technology, students are eligible to sit in campus placements. In the Electrical Engineering Department most of the top semiconductor companies like Intel qualcomm, micron, Texas instruments, onsemi, cadence, amd visited this year. Number of offers made is 80 out of 140 candidates. The highest package is 49 LPA by Qualcomm. 60 per cent got placed this year due to poor market conditions. I am going to work in a semiconductor company after completing my degree.

The placement here at IIT Kanpur is very nice and lucrative. even in this recession period after the covid we are having decent placement stats and almost my entire senior batch is placed here at IIT Kanpur through campus placement.

- Weather here is harsh, extreme winters and severe summers
- Few hostels are under construction so resident there face difficulties
Course Curriculum Overview:
Course curriculum is good, not too hectic, not too light, Teachers are really really good, they are expert in thier domain. Basically, a student needs to complete 7 courses and Thesis to get graduation. these 7 subjects are electives and they need to be chosen from 3 pools, namely data science, Theory and systems, Atleast one course per pool is required. I completed all 7 courses in 1st yr itself. Exams and work load depends on subject to subject and teacher to teacher , also freq and curriculum also depends on teacher and course. difficulty of exam vary from subject and teacher. Nothing here is too difficult or too easy. everything requirs time. IIT KANPUR is a becon of eduction. it gives time to you to relax, it has many fests like antragani, techkriti, udgosh. All of them are too good, also there are many clubs which you can join for your co curriculars. - PK Kelkar library is a major attraction at IITK. It has wide variety of books.
- The campus is very green and clean. It is very well maintained.
Placement Experience:
Placements of IITK are very good. Even during recession the average package was 15lpa. Highest package was 60lpa and lowest was 12lpa. If someone is not getting placed then professors help in their own domain. After degree, I am planning to work in a product based company after degree.

Is IIT Guwahati becoming the next IIT Kanpur?
Both IIT Guwahati and IIT Kanpur are well-respected institutions, known for their high-quality education and research. Comparing the two is already justified and saying that one institution is becoming the next of the other is more so. Both institutions have their strengths and areas of expertise. Yet, if I was to choose one I would have always gone for IIT Kanpur.
Some points that favor my preference are as follows:
- The quality of coursework at IIT Kanpur is extremely challenging and will keep you on your toes always. It offers the best quality of education and you will learn much more than other IITs if you are regular to classes and take your academics seriously,
- The usual schedule of a student at IIT Kanpur is not always jammed, unlike the general opinion. The timings of the clubs align with the classes and you can take out time for both if you are good at managing your time well.
- Another challenging aspect of IIT Kanpur is its tough grading system, (10,8,6,4..) under which anything below 10 is 8. Thus you are under tremendous pressure to maintain your CGPA and is enough of a motivating factor.
Overall, even if Guwahati was to be compared to IIT Kanpur, it still has a long way to go until it becomes the next IIT Kanpur.
