Course Curriculum Overview

So basically for iit kanpur the academic is a bit hard if you compare with other iits . It's more academic life here you have change to explore many things but academic pressure is more so u have to do properly time management.

Internships Opportunities

For internship there are many companies offer internship every year Mainly for summer. For Masters students you need to permission from your supervisor to do internship any company. Here good chance for internship and good chance to getting pre placement offers as well.

Placement Experience

IIT KANPUR has very good campus placement and good chance to get offer from outside India. So placement will start in December first week from every year. You also have offer for phd in US/UK universities as well.

Fees and Financial Aid

So for M.tech from iit kanpur the fee is very low as campre to any other iits (top 7) . For Masters course you will get stipend (12400 per month) so you can manage your fee from here . If you are a SC/ST candidate then your overall fee is 10k less than others

Campus Life

In IIT KANPUR there are one of the best campus among all iits the size of campus is 1100acr very big campus. Very good infrastructure and all facilities which needs every student. There are many clubs is there if you want any specific club then you can start here iit provide you fund .

Hostel Facilities

So for IIT KANPUR there are total 16 hostels (boys+ girls) and in each hostel there own mess and canteen. The food quality of mess is very good lots of options in food . And each hostel has there oun ground for playing.

Admission

I have given Gate exam for taking admission in this college. I am pursuing the my master's degree in electrical engineering department of iit kanpur. My Gate rank is AIR 595 in gate 2022. I got sheat here in 4 round.

Basically, if we're talking about M.tech. students are eligible for campus placement in second year of the course. Many companies have visited so far in the past like L&T , VIT( for Assistant professor) , EIL (for top rank holders) , etc with good CTC packages. My plan is to join any renowned PSU, if selected after completion of this course, as im preparing for it.

I choose this college becouse of its flexible acdemic structure and its great Alum connections. Also this is the best college i am getting according to my rank and my interest in mathematics. I have Applied for IIT delhi in electronics. IIT Delhi is also a great college but when it comes to academic focus IIT delhi lacks there. Also there faculty administratation is so strict. if a student wants to start something or he/she has a new iniative for the college , he/she will face hard time. So I couldn't make it to IIT Roper CSE branch because my jee adance rank is not that great for the Roper' Computer science. So the Admission process here at IITK is not difficult. You just the originaly document which you have submitted in your josa counselling portal and you need to verify it once here usually a couple opf hours work. Life @ IITK

I chose IIT Kanpur over othe rcooleges because of its academic reputation, research opportunities and strong alumini network. I was also able to get seats in other IITs but I preferred IIT Kanpur due to its legacy . I didn't face rejections, but did not opt for some colleges even after qualifying due to lower research output, weaker placement stats.
