Likes

Our syllabus is in line with top international universities as we have most syllabus inspired by them.
Our infrastructure is better than every single IITs of the country and is also one of the largest IITs of the country.
Our course is as tough as it gets as because Chemical engineering is one of the most complex studies but we are given teaching that makes this complex studies looks simple.

Dislikes

Definitely it's some of the students as they enter IITs and then lose all their seriousness.

Course Curriculum Overview

Chemical engineering as I have loved labs of chemistry right from my school days. The chemical reactions and all have enticed me right from my school days. So, I have done many case studies already in that as my college propela us for researches and all.

Class Size: 67Course Fees: INR 260000 per year

Placement Experience

At IIT Kanpur the standards are same and the pattern is set as well. So, from the last year we have less studies and all placements activities at top. From Alchem Labs to Ipca Labs many listed companies at NSE are the ones that offers placements and percentage for Chemical engineering is 86% as of now.

Fees and Financial Aid

IIT Kanpur which is like the fourth best engineering College of India is where I am studying. The fees of my college is 260000 a year. It is one of the most beautiful college and also takes care of various scholarships and all.

Campus Life

IIT Kanpur is nearly 2000 acre campus full of life. 8 blocks and 12 hostel blocks including boys and girls. H1 to H12 is there and each department has there own block and also good infrastructure in each. Fests and activities are so strong and good that we have over 15 events annually.

Hostel Facilities

Hoatels are plenty and two seater and three seater rooms are available. I stay in double room and have to pay 45000 for room and 36000 for mess yearly. Everything is good about our college hostels as they are the best.

Admission

I gave JEE Maina and IIT Kanpur which is fourth ranked college is where I got admissions or else IIT Bombay was my first choice. So, can't really say that I got rejected but yes instead of IIT Bombay, I got admission in IIT Kanpur.

Faculty

Faculties of IIT Kanpur are rated best or among the best in the country. We have many things in our course which are not for everyone's cup of tea to make someone understand but our faculties are definitely superman as they have those wings which makes us understand every complex name and formula of Chemistry understand easily.

Night Life

Best hangout spots are subjail, cafes, tea spots and gardens. Chai Sutta Bar and Dominos are two top cafes in our college surrounding. For sports and gym, we don't have to go out as our college has better facilities than most outside places.

Everything about SNU NOIDA!

Placement Experience:

Usually after 3rd sem, students star getting internships. And for compaines visiting our college, except amazon (they blacklisted us). Almost every top companies do visit the college. Highest package was 59LPA, and the average for cse is 12-13Lpa. 99% students get placements. Many students goes abroad for mtech after graduating from snu, i'd like to do the same but after getting a year or two job experience.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from 7th sem onwards. BHEL offered 19 students with 12 lpa. Amazon offered 3 students with 45 lpa.( offcampus ) In campus highest placement is 22 lpa. in campus avg placement is 5 lakhs. most of the job offers are from sales and managements. Few core campanies also visits and changes year by year managed by training and placement cell of MMMUT. 80% of students get placed.

For Placemnts i dont know much cause i am a 2nd year student but what i have heared from is the highest package in B.Tech is 1.3CR anf avg package is 10 LPA as per the last year and i dont know about this year. They say like 30-35% of students i guess not sure though My plans after degree is to get a good Job that's it!

Remarks:

I choose this college becouse of its flexible acdemic structure and its great Alum connections. Also this is the best college i am getting according to my rank and my interest in mathematics. I have Applied for IIT delhi in electronics. IIT Delhi is also a great college but when it comes to academic focus IIT delhi lacks there. Also there faculty administratation is so strict. if a student wants to start something or he/she has a new iniative for the college , he/she will face hard time. So I couldn't make it to IIT Roper CSE branch because my jee adance rank is not that great for the Roper' Computer science. So the Admission process here at IITK is not difficult. You just the originaly document which you have submitted in your josa counselling portal and you need to verify it once here usually a couple opf hours work. Life @ IITK

I chose IIT Kanpur over othe rcooleges because of its academic reputation, research opportunities and strong alumini network. I was also able to get seats in other IITs but I preferred IIT Kanpur due to its legacy . I didn't face rejections, but did not opt for some colleges even after qualifying due to lower research output, weaker placement stats.
