- Things that I like is that the mess food after 1st year is very good as compare to other IIT's.
- In the college there are many clubs and socities in which you can participate according to your nich.
Dislikes
- The hostels after the first is year is not good although some hostels is good but not all.
- If you are in the college you will find the water is not available easily this is the worst thing.
Fees and Financial Aid:
Tution fee increase policy I have no ideaa about it but the semester wise fee taken by the college and the fee also depends on the family income category basis and other things also. If your's family income is low then yes you will definitely will get scholarship like MCM, Reliance and other also. The cumpuslory charges you have to pay for the mess and hostel fee.Campus emplyment is maily available for post graduating student not for the B.tech student.

- Relation between junior and senior, a senior gets allotted 5 freshers to guide them during their campus journey. And these freshers call these seniors as Baapu/Amma
- I love the fests here, you roam around campus during fests quite fun
Dislikes
- Mess food is not as good as expected before entering the college
- Semesters are very hectic here, among all IIT's Kanpur here toughest academics

Fees and Financial Aid:
Fee structure basically is like if you are from general category you have to pay around 1.25 lakh per semester and for sc/st tuition fees i.e 1 lakh gets completely waived off , just need to pay hostel fees. Scholarship are available here, there is one scholarship like MCM most of the students fill this scholarship. MCM is based on the income criteria and also you have to maintain 6.5 cgpa to avail it.
Fees and Financial Aid:
Fee structure is 1.25 lakhs per semester for general candidates along with 13k for mess establishment funds and a few thousands for miscellenous stuff.We have a lot of scholarships and fee remission policies for deserving candidates.

- Infrastructure challenges: While the institute boasted impressive infrastructure in many areas, there were occasional challenges, such as outdated facilities in some departments or inadequate hostel amentities.
- Placement process: Although the institute had a robust placement cell and attracted top recruiters, the placement process could be intense and competitive, leading to stress and anxiety among students.
Fees and Financial Aid:
The fee structure for my education consisted of tution fees and other compulsory charges. While tution fees remained relatively stable, there was an annual increase policy in place, typically ranging from 3% to 5%. This policy aimed to accunt for inflation and rising operational costs. The complete cost of my education included these fees along with expenses for books, materials, and living costs.
Fees and Financial Aid:
The fee is 2.5 Lacks per annum but is different for each catagory for eample its 2.5 l for general and obc catagory and the fee is almost negligible for the SC and ST catagory . It also depends upon your parental income also .

- I liked the freedom provided to all the students.
- The faculty is really friendly . You can ask them for help any time.
Dislikes
- I disliked how seniors force you to participate in interhall competitions to serve their own purposes.
- There is no option to check your attendance online. You have to go to the office instead.

The Cost of Study isn't much compared to other colleges . The financial condition of each student has been considered . You can get scholarship to a large extent of the fees you have to pay . Various scholarships are available for students to apply for according to their situation like INSPIRE for BS degree students, FBM , MCM , etc. The college even offers stipend in some colleges like in INSPIRE you get 60,000 INR for research every year.

As it is a government collage the fees are decided on the bassis of the family income and the caste and PwD. For general and good background students have to pay aprox 1.4Lakh per semester, For SC/ST it is aprox 20,000. Fees weren't increased from last year during my time and I even got 80 percent scholarship in class 11 and 50 percent scholarship in class 12 by giving exams.affordability was high but due to scholarship it became somehow affordable.

The fees is around 1,50,000 rupees per semester, this includes semester tuitions fees, and hostels expanses besides this we have to pay montly hostel charges that includes mess fees as well. Yes the college provide scolarship.

What should I take: IIT BHU Electronics or IIT Kanpur Chemical Engineering?

I am a student of IIT Kanpur. In terms of infrastructure and facilities, IIT Kanpur is way ahead of IIT BHU. It is one of the oldest and topmost IITs. Even though IIT BHU was actually established in 1919 as Banaras Engineering College, it became an IIT in 2012.
Here is a comparison between the Electronics branch of IIT BHU and Chemical branch of IIT Kanpur based on multiple factors:

If you wish to jump into an IT career, Electronics is a better choice as compared to Chemical. However, IIT Kanpur will provide you with much better exposure, and much wider opportunities as compared to IIT BHU. Additionally, you can learn coding even as a student of Chemical Engineering. This way, even if you don’t get as many IT-based job opportunities on campus, you’ll easily get an off campus offer. The IIT Kanpur tag will help you get into top international universities for higher studies and research work.
Based on these factors, I would suggest you choose Chemical Engineering at IIT Kanpur over Electronics at IIT BHU.
Should I prefer BITS Pilani Computer Science or IIT KANPUR Chemical Engineering?
According to my knowledge, IIT Kanpur Chemical Engineering will give you a better perspective even in your noncore fields. So if you get a chance in IIT K then just go for it, it's one of the finest IITs in India, and the experience you will get there is incomparable.
- IIT Kanpur is situated in a developed place though not much but better than Pilani for sure. Also, connectivity is good.
- Chemical engineering is a Good branch with lots of opportunities.
- Fees- IIT Kanpur fees for 4 years is 8 lakhs while BITS fees is around 19 lakhs.
- IIT Kanpur has a NIRF ranking of 4 while BITS Pilani has an NIRF ranking of 25.
- The median salary of BITS Pilani is 18.2 LPA while the median salary of IIT Kanpur is 22.07 LPA
- More than 250 companies like Microsoft, Fujitsu, Samsung, Reliance, Goldman Sachs, and McKinsey visited IIT Kanpur campus in 2023.
- Great alumni - No doubt BITS also has alumni at par with those of IITs but the thing is that all IITians prefer IITians, by that I mean to say that no matter whether that guy sitting there is from IIT Bombay or Kanpur or any IIT for that matter, they will prefer any IITian over BITSian if no other criteria are available for differentiation.
Should I choose chemical engineering at IIT Kanpur or CSE at IIT Bhubaneswar or ISM Dhanbad? I am interested in pursuing higher studies and not really interested in a job right after a BTech.
It is tough to compare IIT Kanpur, IIT Bhubaneshwar, and ISM Dhanbad. Still, being a Btech student from IIT Kanpur I think I’m better positioned to tell you the best according to my experience.
Faculty: IIT Kanpur boasts a highly qualified and experienced faculty, many of whom have obtained their PhDs from top institutions worldwide.
Research: Faculty members are actively involved in cutting-edge research and frequently publish in top international journals. They receive numerous national and international awards.
Industry: Professors often have strong connections with the industry, leading to collaborations, consulting projects, and opportunities for students to engage in real-world problem-solving.
So, in my opinion, you should go with IIT Kanpur as it is also known for its best-in-class education, and IIT Kanpur ranked 5 in the NIRF 2023 ranking list.
