I am intersted in this course that's why i selected this branch. all the teachers are phd holders. Course curriculum is fairly relevent.. they start with basics such as fluid mechanics and thermodynamics and later dive deep into concepts of chemical engineering. There are a lot of quizzes, assignments along with midsem and endsem exams.

Internships Opportunities

During intern season companies like mcanzee.. microsoft .. adobe.. oracle.. facebook ...Samsung..and all big folks come. We have a protocol for summer projects under professors its called Surge.. we need LORs for it from other profs

Placement Experience

4 crore???,our highest package.. but on an average we ha 15-20L packages.. with a very high percentage of students getting placed.. almost all of the students get placed.. my plans after getting degree is goa party.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure is 1.25 lakhs per semester for general candidates along with 13k for mess establishment funds and a few thousands for miscellenous stuff.We have a lot of scholarships and fee remission policies for deserving candidates.

Campus Life

We have 3 main fests.. one for sports.. one for tech and one cultural fest.. they are so much fun.. even daily campus life is quite interesting for a lot of us we have many clubs and societies. And anyone can find a group of people of their shared interests

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rooms are pretty spacious and well maintained. Mess food has a lot of variety and is pretty decent. Mess has cooler facility for summers and it includes a lot of extras that will make you feel like you are in a restaurant.

Hostel Fee: INR 36000 per year

Admission

I gave jee advanced 2021.. for my category the cut off was around 50-60.. after rounds of counselling i got che branch btech... My branch is fairly easy as compared to other branches and is quite interesting as well the admission process is very easy.

Let's talk about IERT Prayagraj

Placement Experience:

Here you'll get placement cell for placement training. But most the students studying here aren't interested in placement. Most students go for GATE examination or UPSC examination. Even I have plan to go for UPSC examination. There are many rankers passed from here. I think the highest package in 2024 was of 12LPA and average was 4LPA. There is not very high paying visit from any company. But in off campus there are some students who have cracked 45LPA per annum package at Amazon. I my opinion if you are passionate about any government examination then definitely you can opt for this college . And if you want placement then make your self perfect and go for off campus.

Kiet is good choice if you are keeping it in options.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In our autonomous batch there are more practical and project based subjects. There is one subject called design thinking in this we have to think of real life problems and empathize about it abs find or create solutions for them it can a whole new system, a simple app or machine or even a campaign as long as it helps society. There is one ihs subject also which promotes my branch (ECE) in pharmacy , like teaching about medical devices and technology and even our semestet projects are like creating portable ecg machine, creating automatic wheelchair, temprature- oxygen- heartbeat sensor abd recorder etc. It increases difficulties but also improves chances for placemenys in your 4th year if you are already creatibg such things in 1st sem. Frequency and difficulty of exam is moderate i think.

I choose this college becouse of its flexible acdemic structure and its great Alum connections. Also this is the best college i am getting according to my rank and my interest in mathematics. I have Applied for IIT delhi in electronics. IIT Delhi is also a great college but when it comes to academic focus IIT delhi lacks there. Also there faculty administratation is so strict. if a student wants to start something or he/she has a new iniative for the college , he/she will face hard time. So I couldn't make it to IIT Roper CSE branch because my jee adance rank is not that great for the Roper' Computer science. So the Admission process here at IITK is not difficult. You just the originaly document which you have submitted in your josa counselling portal and you need to verify it once here usually a couple opf hours work. Life @ IITK

I chose IIT Kanpur over othe rcooleges because of its academic reputation, research opportunities and strong alumini network. I was also able to get seats in other IITs but I preferred IIT Kanpur due to its legacy . I didn't face rejections, but did not opt for some colleges even after qualifying due to lower research output, weaker placement stats.
