IITK From Sparsh's Perspective

The Course here at IITK are so revelant. There are Wide range of courses that IITK offers. Students from any department can opt any course but you just need to the professor of that particular course. The exam difficult is gain depends on the professor but usually exams at IITK are hard. The Question in exam have make you to think hard enough and to think out of the box.

A wise range of campanies comes to IITK for intership. Some of those comnapnies are google, JP morgon, Future first, Axella, Texas Intrumentals, Nestle, ITC, Samsung etc. These offers a wide range of roles which includes software developnment, Data analyticals, consulting, techno managemer, Finance, Quant etc. The stipend also also varies from 50k to 40 lakhs for 2 months iof intership.

So the placements of IITK is so good. As it is one of the top colleges of engineering in india, the placement here are quite good. The Average pakages according to last year stats is somewhere around 22 lakhs. And then the we have branch-wise average Pakages too. The students becomes elgible for interhsip in his/her 5th semester and for the placement in his/her 7th semester. The American Express & Jp Morgon visited IITK and has made 11 and 6 offers respectively. The percentage of students getting placed are high , usually higher than 85 percent. I planned on preapring for UPSC after the my degree.

The Acedemic fees for per semester is 1lakh that makes up 2 lakhs per year for academic fees. And then there is Hostel fees which 30-40 thousand yearly but a little high as a fresher because we need to pay the security fees as well. And the student coming from SC/ST and PWD category has to pay 0 rupees as academic fees but hotel charges remain as usual for the students. Student with the Income certificate of less than 5 lakh we will the given 66 persent scholarship in the academic fees. The waster charges , development fees, lab fees are negligible.

My overall Experience of the campus life is very good. The late nights talks, the clubs parties, different programs goiing on the campus makes it much exciting and engaging. There are a wide range of clubs in IITK focusing on different domains. The clubs here offer you to get back to your hobby that you have left becouse of your study pressure. So the IITK has 3 fest : Udghosh( a sports fest usually happens at the start of october) , Antaragni ( a cult fest , usually happen at the end of october) and then there is a tech fest names, techkriti usually happens at the end of march. The librabary offer a wide range of books from academic to non-academic. We can also make their virtual copy avail via liraray app and website. The clasrooms are Ac, blackboard, & a projector. The iitk offers a wide range of sports from football , cricket to skating, boxing etc. Any one who is interested in any of these activites can come and play it. There is a humour house club at IITK. It really a nice club. Student from their academic pressure can go to the event organizes by humour house and can have a reak nice time. And then there is esports club which also organises PS5 consoles and ifferent gaming events

The Hostel Room is are not that great when campared to the other colleges room but all the other facility are well eqipeed. Although Ac are not allowed neither you are allowed to put on your own. Rental chrages are 30-40 thoudsand yearly + mess chages extra. The food quality is good. We are given many option in the food and we can also take extra food with some money . and then there is canteen which opens from 2pm-2am. The cantten offer a wide range of food. There isnt some different registartion for the hostel.

I choose this college becouse of its flexible acdemic structure and its great Alum connections. Also this is the best college i am getting according to my rank and my interest in mathematics. I have Applied for IIT delhi in electronics. IIT Delhi is also a great college but when it comes to academic focus IIT delhi lacks there. Also there faculty administratation is so strict. if a student wants to start something or he/she has a new iniative for the college , he/she will face hard time. So I couldn't make it to IIT Roper CSE branch because my jee adance rank is not that great for the Roper' Computer science. So the Admission process here at IITK is not difficult. You just the originaly document which you have submitted in your josa counselling portal and you need to verify it once here usually a couple opf hours work. The cut-off for IITK varies-from branch to branch. For example the CSE of IITk open from Jee advanced general rank of 115 to 250.

The faculty member of the college are very cooperative. They all try to explkain each and every concept very clearly. And even if you didn't get, you can go to their office to talk to them personally. The course structure varies from professor to professor. There are two types of courses: one is modular courses which is of 2 months and then there is normal courses which runs for 4 months. The exam are majorly offline. A normal Course has 2 quizes, 1 midsem, and 1 Endsem. But again this can vary according to the professor teaching that course. The marking Scheme again depends on the professor of that particular course. But nomally the gradin at IITK is not that great as compared to other IITs.

The nightlife at IITK is very nice. You can anywhere in the campusm there is no ristriction as such. My favourite hanging spots includes Fcaulty bulilding & Daimond jubliee building. Although it restricted to go to these building but its fine if youb dont create a messs there. clasing tikning of Gym , liraray , MT are 9pm, 12am, 9pm. The OAT opens 24*7 but the outlets inside OAT has opening and clasing timing. There also a beautiful hanging spot at night that is oxidation pond. Its a resitricted area in the campus and it is recemmed to go out there. There been some cases from there frpom past.
