I choose this courses as per the jossa allotment. Since today's world require maths at the it sector, this course would be the best or for PhD it has a great opportunity. In this ug program you will have DSA as compulsory courses, also mat lab, c programming, python, R, etc and you can take ML as your extra course. So if you only follow the curriculum then you will surely get a decent placement. But for the package of above 1cr you need to put some extra efforts. The exams are conducted at good timings and frequently. They are tough, you can't get good grades just by one day of learning. Fir the improvement, I guess topolgy must be a compulsory course and clashes of the courses should be sort out as soon as possible

Many it sector company offers intern to students. If you are a cse, mth, SDS and electrical branch student then it's around 50 percent of student get on campus intern and for other branches it can decline to 30 20 percent, but there is no such rule is you get intern then only you get placed. You can still prepare and can get placement, all depends on your hard work. In summers there is surge and projects under professor which are very useful and students must do that.

After the end of 6 th semester, students need to submit the resume for the placements. At this time my senior placements are going on and they are much better. Like on first day half of the batch got placed. All the it sector company are there you can apply for. Highest package was around 2 cr and average was 25 lakhs. 70 to 80 percent of the students get placed, rest of the students either go for the masters or PhD or some other goal. I am pretty sure after my degree completion i would get an average package but I just wanted to be a civil servant.

The year wise tuition fee is 118000 around something per semester, the hostel fee is 12000 per year and the mess fee depends on the student. For sc/st category students and parental income less than 6 lakh per year there is no tuition fee but other hostel and mess fee is charged. There are many scholarship based on the percent of class 12, jee advanced rank etc. One of the best scholarship is inspire.

For cultural antaragini is there and for tech techkriti is there and both of them are very much enjoyable. There is pk kalekar library where you get numerous books of all the topics and you issue for 14 days or can read there itself. Classrooms are highly effective ang have good infrastructure. There are numerous opportunities for sports and many events held throughout the year. Majorly are udghosh, inter iit, inferno, etc.. Many clubs like programming, electronics, etc are there you can take part at anytime.

I am at hall12 so you get a seperate room in third year. The rooms are good enough for your studies and extra things you want to do. For the mess, its like you get sufficient quality of meal which can't be denied but can't be as equal as home food but it's good. All the registration of hostels begins from the starting of the semester and they are all done by the hall in charge, so need to worry.

Iitk is famous for its academics, so if a student is passed out from here then he/she will not face any difficulty in higher academics or the path student will take it the goal he/she wants to achieve. To take admission you need to clear jee advanced and then make available for the jossa counciling. Fir general you need around 900 rank, for OBC around 2k to 3k ( gen rank) and for sc/ St it's around 7k to 8k. For females you can check jossa official councilling site.

There are number of people to help whether academic or non academic. You can approach via mail or in person, no professor refuses to meet a student. Mr. Ashutosh Kumar and debasis kundu both are one of the best professor of math department since they teach well, provide essential things to students. There are 2 quizes, 1 midsem and 1 endsem and for some courses projet is there. How hard is a course all depends on the nature of the course and the professor. If you do nothing and not regular to the class then only you will get failed and also maths at iitk is not a easy task to do, do you have to be on regular basis. If to sum all these things, to be a average student you have to a regular one.

There are 2 gyms majorly available for students. For cafeteria you have mama mio, CCD, Netscafe, oat, doaa canteen, hall canteens and many more. You have a freedom to go anywhere at any time of the whole day. Here we call hostels as halls. For boys to boys halls you can go anytime but for girls to boys and Vic verse the timings are 6 am to 12 am. You can go to oat, mama mio, garden and a very beautiful pond is there.
