Course Curriculum Overview

The course structure being absolute for students who want to persuade for Masters and specialization. Only the practicals of physics could be more improved from the faculty side. More support is required.

Internships Opportunities

Science faculty has its own Physics Workshop which is likely to be rare from others . There is not much accessibility to the outerworld. So no opportunitites of internship for students. The University basically focuses on the theoretical nature of the students

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

1st year fees for bsc Maths group is 5009 only. Counselling process for admission would charge 500 per course when registering through CUET. One can approach scholarship offered by Uttar Pradesh Government which is likely to be received by most of the students. This scholarship is around 6000-10000 per year.

Campus Life

The campus life is a bit disappointing here. The fact that mostly students from lower middle class join here , leads to desolation in campus life of the students. Moreover no fests , parties and annual functions are carried by the University. Neither any expenses on any such occasion.

Admission

The college offers annual exam . This is a great opportunity to prepare over the year for not only the exams but for vast competions. For getting admission one has to score a decent score above 400 in CUET in the following 4 subject combinations: LANGUAGE ( Eng or Hindi) + ANY 2 DOMAIN SUBJECT(Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Computer science) + GENERAL TEST. Students have to proceed with the counselling process of Allahabad University and wait for the cutoffs

Faculty

The University holds Annual exam for Under graduate exam. Bsc maths being a very critical course to pass. Passing percentage of students is around 35 out of 100 , that is, only 35 students out of 100 passed in 1st year bsc exams for maths group. Physics department being toughest of all. There will be support from the faculty for practicals. Students have to research , channelise and complete with there own practicals assigned by the professors .

Placement Experience:

The placement statistics of IITK is great. Every year many 1cr+ packages as well as international packages are offered by top companies to students. The placement percentage is also increasing every year. The students become eligible to apply for companies after 3rd year ie. after 6th semester. The highest package offered was 4cr per annum while the average package was 22lacs per annum. My plan after getting the degree is to get a good paying job and start working.

There campus placements are very impressive. But in our branch the placement have not been started because it is new branch but it have very promising hopes of good employment in the upcoming years. Placement Experience:

The college offers various placement opportunities. Many companies come and take people. It's usually starts in the month of December in the final year. I can tell about my branch average package is 33 lakhs and about some 90 lakh is highest package. Various tech non teach companies come like Google, Microsoft, sprinkler etc The minimum salary offered is 6 lakh per annum. People can easily get placement outside college because of IIT tag.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is relevant but it maybe little bit hectic in starting. Maths courses are lot theoretical than JEE where you only have to calculate and no matter how. Here you have to write a mathematical essay on a question and essay should be to the point too

I applied for many college which are part of Allahabad University but I chose Allahabad Degree College because of Commerce faculty is best other than other colleges.
