Some of the profs are really very great as they encourage us to think outside of the box.
Campus is good, friends are good, clubs and societies are good and the fest is good

Dislikes

The number of shops are very less in the college campus, which is very bad.
This year 2023-2024 , the placement stats has dropped due to recession all among the world leading to less hiring opportunities for freshers.
Professor are very strict here in academics and academic is also very hard.

A brief review of IIITA

Likes

The Placements in the college are very good. In spite of recession the placement stats of the year 2024 are quite good i.e. 26 lakhs is the average package.
The campus area is also good. There is a football ground , volleyball and basketball grounds also in the campus.
The academics of the college is also nice. All the professors are good and they teach very nicely.

Dislikes

The sports facilities are not up to the mark.
The events are not conducted properly and not on a regular basis.
The location of the college is very much out of the city and all the nearby shops gets closed by 10:00pm.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements are quite good in our college. The average package goes upto 30 lakhs per annum. The students are eligible for internships from 2nd year and can apply for jobs from 3rd year according to their pereperations.So overall the placements are good in IIIT Allahabad

A guidance before coming to IIIT Allahabad

Likes

The coding culture of IIIT Allahabad is really very good. Even some of my friends became 4star and 5star coder in 1st and 2nd sem only
The college's different society do regularly conducts Hackathons and funny and interesting challenges and games based on the interest of students
The seniors are very helpful in nature. They guide us through the each and every phase of our course

Dislikes

The college IIIT Allahabad is located in Jhalwa, Prayagraj. which is a remote location. This restricts the students to do their desirable things

From 3rd year onwards students are eligible for campus placements. approx each and every company visit our college and the highest package offered was 1 .04 cr as an international package this year. The average package is approx 27 lpa. Approx 90% students got placed. my plan is to build a startup.

IIITA College review.

Likes

Technical environment of this college is very good. Coding is the main priority here.
College infrastructure is very good, we have neat and clean hostels.

Dislikes

Mess food is not so good, here you will have to survive otherwise you know.
Professor are very strict here in academics and academic is also very hard.

Placement Experience:

Placement of our college is of top notch, they are comparable to IITs, students are eligible for campus placement from third year. Google, Facebook, Amazon, sprinkler etc these top companies visits here every year. Here highest package goes for 1 cr also and average has declined to 25 lpa now due to recession in market, it was 32 lpa without recession. During recession almost 80 percent student gets placed, without recession it was about 100 percent placement rate. My plan is just to join any FAANG companies during my college placement and chill for rst of life. A short summary of IIITA

Likes

Good coding culture and good alumni network.
Good opportunities for top MNC's with decent package
Helpful seniors and junior - senior bond is very good.

Dislikes

Very hectic schedule of classes and lectures.
Very few time for extra curricular activities.
Sometimes mess food are terrible. It should be improved.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements are very good here. The Placement Cell Team works day and night and bring good companies here. The overall median and mean package are also good. If not campus placement then I'll try for off campus opportunities.

Won't regret coming to IIIT Allahabad

Likes

Coding culture of the college is great. Everyone starts codinng from the beginning of the first year
Campus has all the infra that is required by a student. It does not have alot of amenities but it has everthing that a college student needs.
Timing for the hostel is very flexible for boys, but for girls they have restrictions of 10:00 pm which is necessary since we are in Uttar Pradesh.

Dislikes

Ece professors are really not helpful and also they do not take much classes and disturbs students for their project
No matter what you do you will never be able to improve the mess food. Though it is not tge bad but it still it needs to approve.

Placement Experience:

Our college is prominently known for the campus placements. Students of third year are eligible for the two month intern opportunity and students of fourth year are eligible for the full time offer and six month intern as well. The highest package offered to the student is about 1 cr by a foreign firm and average package is nearly about 20-25 lakhs this year though it was higher previous year. Last year nearly every candidate got placed though this year only 80-85 percent of students secured placement.

My first year experience in IIIT Allahabad

Likes

The biggest reason why people opt for this college are the placements. This college provides an average placement package of over 30 lakhs which is much more than any other college in this domain excluding the old IITs
You will be getting all the resources, YouTube channels to study from at the beginning of the semester. Seniors most likely send all the previous year question papers. So even though the course curriculum is said to be hard, you won't find a trouble
The quality of infrastructure is good. The college has a 100 acre campus so even though it is not much compared to NITs or IITs since the crowd in this college is relatively less this feels way bigger than it is.

Dislikes

Don't expect much from the faculty. Some of them are actually good whereas you will find some that don't even know how to make concepts clear. In those scenarios you will have to rely on your peers and YouTube. You will mostly find everything online
Campus Life is the biggest turn off. People spend hours coding sitting in their respective hostel rooms. You will hardly find anything social going on in the campus. The club's are also relatively inactive and doesn't get much funding either.
This college is known for Competitive programming. So majority of the crowd keeps solving questions for hours. Don't expect much if you have interest in other domains. You will have to figure things out by yourself if you have other interests

Placement Experience:

You are eligible for campus placements after you complete your 7th semester. Some students also get PPOs when they do their internships on 6th semester. On 2023-24 batch due to recession the Highest package was around 1 crore from IT-BI branch and the average was around 26 LPA. This is including all the branches. Specific IT or IT-BI will have more. Companies that have visited before include Meta, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Nvidea, AMD, Intel, Atlassian, Adobe, Media.net and many more. Around 130 companies visited the campus.this year. And the placement percentage was around 90% due to recession. It is usually 100% in other times. Compared to NITs that have around 60-70% placements this season it is more than appreciable.

Honest Review of IIIT Allahabad

Likes

Main reason for its popularity are its good placements. Coding culture of this college is great which can be seen through great placements.
Also it provides in-depth knowledge about different sectors of information technology.
Technical societies are great and college provides many hackathons.

Dislikes

College life is not that great. Students can find it a bit hectic (especially first semister). CGPA depends on two things 1. your preparation for exam 2. how well you can convince TAs to increase marks in rechecking.
College fests of year 2023-2024 were pale in comparison to fests of other colleges and it's own previous fests. The climate here is quite extreme in both Summer and Winter.
Campus only has one ground to play cricket, football, hockey and other similar sports. Lots of space in campus is wasted in making useless lawns where no one is allowed to walk.

Placement Experience:

Placements are one of the best things in college. This year due to recession placements are affected but it has happened all over the world. Even after that average of IT is 26lpa and median is 20lpa.

Senior-Junior Interaction: The senior junior interaction is best . There is no ragging scenario.
College placement scenarios are appreciable under recession time too.

Dislikes

College has not much diversity in domain of engineering as only ECE, IT candidates are there.

Placement Experience:

The 2019-2023 batch achieved impressive placement statistics, with a median salary of 30 LPA, an average salary of 32 LPA, and the highest salary reaching 1.5 crore. Around 130 companies, including Google, Amazon, Flipkart, and Media.net, conducted recruitment drives on campus, leading to successful placements for about 99% of the registered students. After completing my degree, I aspire to pursue a career as a Software Development Engineer in a leading multinational corporation to advance my professional life. Placement stats of 2019 batch is available which is very nice and top notch compared to topmost IITs as median salary is 30 lpa and average salary is 32 lpa and highest is 1.5 crore and approx 130 companies have visited the campus like Google, Amazon,Flipkart , Media.net and other top notch MNC'S and approx 99 % student got placed who have registered and my plan is to work as SDE in top MNC after getting the degree and make my pofessional corporate life more better

Coding Culture is great. One can get many good coders here.
Senior-Junior interaction is very great.
Good infrastructure with the likes of closed roof swimming pool, squash court , lawn tennis court.

Dislikes

Campus is not big and is in outskirts of city.
Sports culture is not so great and very few people play sports everyday.

More than 130 companies visited IIIT Allahabad. The average package is 26LPA Highest Package is 1.03CR Percent of Students getting placement - 90-95% The data is still very good considering the recession and laying off.

IIIT Amethi is situated near a village named Tikarmafi, 10 km away from Amethi. It has its own perks. Here are some factors about the institute.

Academics:

Both IIIT Allahabad and IIIT Amethi have the same curriculum and professors. Because of that, professors visit the Amethi campus on a daily basis.
As almost everything is similar for both campuses, the exams are also conducted parallelly in both of them, making them at par for things related to academics.

Placements:

Students of IIIT Amethi are shifted to the campus of IIIT Allahabad after their 4th year, securing them placements similar to the Allahabad campus.
Needless to say, IIIT Allahabad does come with good placements. IIIT Amethi also enjoys the same privilege as placement is same for both the institutes.

Facilities and Infrastructure:

This is exactly where you can set the contrast between the two campuses. IIIT Amethi lacks good infrastructure. It is a very compressed campus with only two boys’ hostels and one girls’ hostel.
There had not been any sports facilities in the institute before. But at present, it has standard Basketball courts, a Badminton court, TT tables and a playground for cricket.
The labs and libraries are minuscule too. It can hardly support the strength.
Besides, you might also not find any up-to-the-mark food items around the campus, but just snacks to keep the day going.
There’s an option to take a bus ride to visit a town nearby, Sultanpur, which helps in a way to let students escape from the everyday life at Amethi, and rather spend time in that area, or buy decent food.

IIIT Amethi does have its fair share of disadvantages but it offers good placement in top-notch MNCs such as Google, Facebook, and Adobe, etc. Also, the pros outweigh the con for IIIT Amethi.
