Likes
- The Placements in the college are very good. In spite of recession the placement stats of the year 2024 are quite good i.e. 26 lakhs is the average package.
- The campus area is also good. There is a football ground , volleyball and basketball grounds also in the campus.
- The academics of the college is also nice. All the professors are good and they teach very nicely.
Dislikes
- The sports facilities are not up to the mark.
- The events are not conducted properly and not on a regular basis.
- The location of the college is very much out of the city and all the nearby shops gets closed by 10:00pm.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is also very nice. Only the related and useful subjects are kept into the course. The assignments given also helps in deep understanding of the subject. And the exams are hold 4 times a semister i.e. Quiz1 then MidSem then Quiz2 and then EndSem.
Internships Opportunities
The placement and internship opportunities are really good in IIIT Allahabad. Students are eligible to apply for internships and placements from 2nd and 3rd year . The companies like Google , amazon , sprinklr , uber , etc. visits for the placement.
Placement Experience
The campus placements are quite good in our college. The average package goes upto 30 lakhs per annum. The students are eligible for internships from 2nd year and can apply for jobs from 3rd year according to their pereperations.So overall the placements are good in IIIT Allahabad
Fees and Financial Aid
The overall college fees is around 2.5lakhs per year which includes hostels , mess and many other facilities. Scholorships are also provided by the college but I dont have a proper idea of it.The placements are provided by the college itself.
Campus Life
The overall experience with the campus life is really not good. Shops nearby the gets closed by 10:00pm. The clubs are also moderate i.e. not very good. Though the library is good and big with enough of sitting place other social factors lack in the college.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are moderate. The food quality of the mess is also bad. But the mess provides special dinner twice a year. The hostels are allocated during the admission only. You will only get a bed , study table , chair , fan and lights in the room and the room will be double sharing for 1st year students.
Admission
The course which I am enrolled to is IT-BIn. The college itself has high cutoffs as it is the best IIIT of the India.As I belonged to the OBC category I got benefit of reservation policy. The admission process was not hectic at all.
Faculty
The experience with the faculty members is quite good. The professors are quite friendly and their teaching style is also good. We can approach the professors, but some sort of chronological approach is needed to be followed like you should mail at first and then if the problem is still not solved then you can go and visit the professor.
