Course Details
AKTU MCA admission 2024 will be based on scores obtained in the CUET PG examination followed by UPTAC Counselling. CUET PG 2024 exam will be held from March 11 to March 28, 2024. AKTU MCA Course Highlights
- The program is a regular full-time course.
- The duration of this course is 2 years which is divided across 4 semesters shall include Lectures, Tutorials, Practical Labs, Seminars and Projects, etc.
- 2 consecutive semester semesters are considered as 1 academic year.
- A grade sheet/certificate is given to all the registered students at the end of every academic year.
- Every student has to attend all the Lectures, Tutorials, Practical Classes and other curricular and co-curricular activities prescribed by AKTU.
- Attendance can be considered up to 25% on medical grounds or for other genuine reasons.
- Selection to this course is purely entrance-based.
AKTU MCA Eligibility Criteria
For admission to the MCA program at AKTU, candidates are required to fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
For Admission to AKTU MCA (1st Year):
- Must have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Bachelor’s degree from any recognized University or Institute of India or equivalent with Mathematics and Computer as compulsory subjects.
- Must have passed 10+2 or HSC with Mathematics as one of the compulsory subjects.
- Must have qualified the CUET PG Entrance Exam.
- 5% relaxation in the qualifying examination will be provided to SC, ST Category students.
For Admission to AKTU MCA Lateral Entry
- Must have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Bachelor’s degree (minimum 3 years) in BCA, B.SC in Information Technology/ Computer Science s from any known University or Institute of India or equivalent.
- Must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics as one of the main subjects.
- 5% relaxation will be given to SC/ST candidates.
AKTU MCA Admission Criteria
Candidates seeking admission to the AKTU MCA program must appear for the CUET PG exam, conducted by NTA. The university does not conduct any separate entrance examination for the same. For the final selection, AKTU will conduct the counselling session for seat allocation. Seats will be allocated on the basis of CUET PG scores, availability of seats, category, etc.

Prescribed Coursework
- Each semester is inclusive of 15-18 weeks i.e 90 working days.
- From 1st to 5th Semester: Theory Lectures, Tutorials, Practical, Seminars and Projects, Industrial Training are included.
- However, the 6th semester includes more practical training in the industries or organizations under the training program.
- The performance of the MCA students is evaluated through constant class assessment and final examination.
- The assessment is based on class tests, assignments, quizzes, viva-voce, and attendance.

There is a high value of technology in the present time. I have done my graduation in Math and computer and I have interest in technology so i preferred MCA and now I am learning about different technologies such as web development, machine learning etc.

- Hostel life was vibrant, everyone stayed united and supportive, creating a strong sense of community.
- The mess food was surprisingly good, consistently meeting expectations and offering variety.

- While teachers were knowledgeable, they often didn't give students much importance, leading to a lack of enagement.
- The college security was inadequate; anyone could enter without much scrutiny, compromising safety.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I choose MCA because it offers a master's degree with technical knowledge, which is highly valued today. The curriculum gave me basic DSA knowledge, but I had to learn ReactJS on my own, which led to my placement. The course helped, but some practical, in-demand skills were lacking. Techers need to take their job seriously; after securing government positions, they tend to become arrogant. The curriculum should focus more on relevant technologies instead of outdates ones like C programming. Timely course completion is crucial. As for exams, they were scheduled well and the difficulty was manageable.

Course Curriculum Overview:
The course curriculum was very modern and great in terms of the content. It prepared us very well for the real world applications and we can use the learning to create or make any real world applications, or even for further academic work. We should give more weight to the practical learning. Exams were on almost every month which had moderate to high difficulty level.

- Events can be held at regular intervals of time, celebrity and filmstars are came to the campus to promote their upcoming movies.

- Placement cell of the college is the worst. Student can not be placed after the completion of their courses.
- Teachers are changing at regular intervals often before the course complition time.

Teachers completed their courses on time The curriculum of the college is not based on real-world applications or further academic pursuits. They only teach us about the theory subject. Smart classes should be added in the classroom, that includes smart board, wifi availablity. Too much Hot and Humid Condition in the Class AC should be included in the classroom. Campus should be monitored with CCTV. The frequency and timing of exams is based on AKTU shedule. Our college is comes under the ATKU that conduct the exam. Difficulty level of exams is too hard.
