VIT Vellore Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

VIT Vellore has announced the successful completion of the final placement process of the 2020 batch. Total 7,721 offers have been rolled out across multiple sectors. The institute witnessed the participants of some of the eminent recruiters, including intel, eBay, Amazon, Dell, GE, Texas Instruments, etc. This year the institute rolled out 7,721 offers making an increase of 20.47% as compared to last year. The highest number of offers were generated by Microsoft. The company also offered the highest CTC of 44 LPA. The average CTC of VIT is increased from 6.05 LPA to 7.25 LPA.

placement cell is very good in vit. I want to advise that please prepare for one programming language like C++, JAVA. concepts of algorithm, in database SQL and some reasoning that's fine. you need to try for good CGPA like more than 8 CGPA. From 3rd sem ending or 4th sem starting students become eligible for placements. There are lots of companies visiting the campus every year such as Microsoft, Amazon, TCS, Infotech, Paypal etc.

Placement opportunities are high in branches like CSE/IT , moderate in ECE and low in MECH/CIVIL. Packages vary from 4-30 lakhs which are classified into Regular, dream and Super dream Regular - 4lakhs Dream 5-10lakhs Super Dream - 10-30 lakhs 90% of students get placed in the campus but branches like CSE/IT will only get higher packages. People go for masters after the graduation, few go for jobs etc.. I'm currently preparing for UPSC recently left the job.

The campus placement is the most appealing thing VIT has. More than 500 companies come around the year and provide jobs for various roles. Most of them are related to IT and CSE. Package ranges from as low as 1.5 lakh to 50 lakh per annum. While the average is 7 lakh.

That depends entirely on the course and on the faculty! For example, if you only have one person who studies mathematical logic, they should teach the upper-division mathematical logic course. There can also be courses that people prefer to teach - I like to teach “Contemporary Mathematics” because it is topical and applied, and the students who take it often have their whole view of what math is and who can do it changed (he-he-he, I love the part when they suddenly realize that they’ve been having fun doing math). I have a colleague at my smaller college who always teaches almost all of the stats - she enjoys stats, the rest of the math faculty doesn’t. In larger departments or with a less congenial faculty, there is usually a department chair or the head of a committee. They sit down and wrangle out a schedule that feels equitable, then the faculty complain and things get shifted, and the “junior” faculty end up teaching the “bad” classes and it can get quite political and nasty!

There are lots of companies visiting the campus every year such as Microsoft, Amazon, TCS, Infotech, Paypal etc. The highest package of the college is around 43 LPA and the average package is around 6.5 LPA according to college data but I guess it lies between 5-6 LPA. Very few students get their dream package and above 10 lpa and around 50% get placements, or it may be above. After getting a degree if I didn't gett any degree, I will go for defence exams or I will go with MTech.

As we know that the computer science branch has many job opportunities so everyone wants to be a part of a good institution and get placed in the dream or super dream companies. The faculties are highly qualified and are practical oriented. The faculties are very intelligent and helpful too. The student/faculty ratio is 17. Basically, most of the Professors are PhD holders and having more than 10+ years of experience which makes the class more interesting and they tell the concept in a very easy way so that everyone can understand it. The teaching method is excellent as the experienced teacher knows how to teach the subject most easily so that it is understandable easily by the students. There are practice exams, CAT-1, CAT-2 and FAT-1 exams every semester. 30% weightage of CAT-1 , 30% of CAT-2 and 40% of FAT-1 . CAT = Continous Assesement test and FAT = Final Assesement test . There is a relative grading system in the university. exams are difficult and not easy to score good marks

from 7 semesters anyone can apply for an internship or placement. Highest CTC was 75 LAC P.A ( 2021-22 session) and the average package is 7.56 lac PA. total 803 companies visited ( 2020-2021). super dream offers ( 10 lac + p.a) = 1041. regular offer = 1886. overall offers = 9470. companies that visited = Amazon, DE Shaw, Microsoft, Paypal, Dyte, Udhaan etc. according to records, 100% placement is secured. MY plans are the same to get placed in a super dream company.

More than 200 companies visit. Per year and 90 percent, students got placed in big companies Avg. The package offered at my time was 8 lakhs and the highest package was 25 lakhs. Many companies like Wipro, HCL, Microsoft and many big companies visit our college.

I chose b.tech computer science and I choose this course for due to good placement in Microsoft, google, amazon, etc and in this institute, student ratio is also good very study environment is created and also enjoy in the study and also qualified faculties are available in this institute and well good behavior in faculties are just like parents also motivation level is height in the classroom also teach about our course feature in our India. Country in the institute all rules are following like tests every week and semester-wise exam and provide opportunities to score in IIT jee and technic of teaching in this institute is amazing. I also recommend this institute.
