Excellent placements: bits pilani has a strong industry network and consistently records high placement percentages, with many students securing job offers before graduation.
The faculty at bits are superb and also pretty chill at the same time.
Merit cum need scholarship is given to the best students who are poor but good in studies.

Dislikes

Grading is difficult , papers are also difficult
It has very bad bathing water, causes skin and hair issues
I hate the fact that there are lot of stray animals even in our hostels

Bits its magic

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course which I purchased is chemical engineering,the reason for me to join this course is I am passionate to know how the industrial sectors work on. As chemical as mainly deals with the industrial sectors field. The curriculum is very well organized we will be having 1 lab section after every theory section which helps us to understand the real applications of the course which we have purchased. For my side their are no suggestions in the course curriculum and teaching methods because the courses are well organized by the faculty incharge as they have minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in their respective field. We will be having exam after every 3 months they are called as midsemester and the comprehensive exams. The difficulty of the exams are that high one can score good marks even after starting their preparation a week before exams.

Placement Experience:

For placements in Birla Institute of technology and science pilani we have a placement session that goes for around 3-4 months and happens in your final year of the college..having an average package of 18 lack.

So in Birla institute of technology if you are a single degree student than you are given a choice whether you want placement in 7th semester or in 8th semester and if you are higher degree student than at 5th year

So in bits If you are a single degree student then you get a choice in 4th year that wheather you want to take placement in 7th semester or 8th semester.placement percentage is good. Mostly every Student who apply for placement gets it.

BITS Pilani - Is it worth it

Likes

Acedamics - library , classrooms ,labs etc
Peer group - clubs , tech teams and departments

Dislikes

No help for tech teams and clubs by the administration
Almost all facilities are chargeable like booking classrooms, labs or workshop.

Placement Experience:

The placement drive comes in the fourth year. The drive is quite good and around 80% of the students get placed. The average package for chemical engineering is 13lpa. The highest package is not disclosed by the college.

Placement Experience:

The placement process starts in the 3rd semester. There is practice school also in BITS Pilani. Its goal is to train the students on the job and students are sent to various companies for training. Various companies like HSBC, Barclays, Accenture, KPMG etc ahve visited our campus for placements. For Batch of 2022-24, the highest CTC is 27 LPA, the average is 17.36 LPA and median is 17.5 LPA. Profiles offered are marketing, IT, analytics and Finance. Almost half of the batch is already placed. My plan is get placement in a good company.

BITS PILANI - THE BEST PRIVATE COLLEGE IN INDIA

I liked the campus life and the sports facilities available at the campus . it is very fun to engage with other children in sports we enjoy.
I liked the educational courses and the teaching methods of the teachers.
I like the zero percent attendance policy as it gives us free time to pursue our interests and upskill ourselves.

Dislikes

I dislike the surprise tests that happen quite often in the college since it diminishes the zero percent attendance policy
Pilani is situated in rajasthan so we face extreme climate . It is very hot in the summers and very cold in the winters.
We are not allowed to have ACs, Coolers or heaters in the room despite the extreme weather conditions.

Placement Experience:

You can become eligible for campus placements from the fourth year's first semester but you can also get pre-placement offers in 3rd year summer internship if the company finds you useful. The names of companies that visit campus are google, Microsoft, amazon, direct x, and tata Steel, and about 98% of students are placed. Highest package is 60 LPA and the average package is 30 LPA. My plan after getting the degree is to work a job in a good company with a good package.

The Timing and Amount of the eateries available for the Students
The Vast amount and and the spread of interests for clubs
The Course strategy available by the Authority

Dislikes

The Area is secluded from the Main City and gives people a less amount of areas to be explored
The Trials and Tests for departments is tough

Placement Experience:

The Students start getting paid starting from 2nd year end .Then again in 3rd year.and Finally in The fourth year. Highest package will be 90 LPA and and AVERAGE PACKAGE will be 21 LPA ROUGHLY 90% OF THE STUDENTS GET PAID.

The college is really amazing as the vibe in the college is really good, the seniors here are really helpful and I enjoyed every day of it.
The faculty of the college is amazing, they teach really good and help students in every way possible.
The placement of the college is amazing and even after recession, there were many pre placement offers given.

Dislikes

The thing I disliked is that the college is at a remote place which make a it hard to enjoy ourselves out of the college.
The faculty is good but sometimes, some of the teachers are not able to deliver their information properly. They are very educated but sometimes they can't convey the lectures properly.
The environment here is very extreme like in summer it will be very hot over here in Pilani and in winters, it touches 0 degrees in worst cases which I don't like much.

Placement Experience:

Our college provide campus placement and the offeres provided by the companies are really good overall but this year due to recession, there was a dip in the total avegmrage of the offeres made but there were many companies which came for campus placement. I don't have the exact information about the number of companies visited and the offeres made so I would not like to comment on that but I know that the average package is around 20,00,000. After getting the degree I want to work for a tech firm and want to explore more field sso that I can decide my choices

BITS WILP is a two-year postgraduate level course, in which 15 specializations are offered by the university. It is a degree course that is completed mainly on weekends to enable students and professionals to gain a full-time degree course while continuing their professional pursuits.

Pros

You get associated with the BITS tag
You can do your PG alongside working
The course is rather easy and with the right dedication you can complete it in 2 yrs.
The syllabus is the same for both on and off-campus students

Cons

You won’t be able to sit for PG campus recruitment
Not many companies consider this degree valuable and thus makes it is difficult to land a job.
The admission criteria are rather flexible thus the peer pool is not very filtered.
Most of the subjects are from bachelors and lack relevance and rigor
There is no visible difference in the knowledge base of the students.
The classes are not conducted by the original BITS faculty.

In all, I think the cons overshadow the pros and don’t deem this course a very wise decision.

Is BITS Pilani "Pilani campus" better than IIT Roorkee or IIT Guwahati?

In my opinion, both BITS Pilani and IIT Roorkee are in the same league while IIT Guwahati is a bit inferior to them. Let’s discuss further on the basis of some very common aspects

Core subjects: BITS Pilani does not focus on core subjects and the research culture is also very inactive. This is because of the extremely laid-back curriculum and attendance policy. The research opportunities offered are very less in comparison to IITs
Placements: In this aspect, BITS Pilani definitely fairs better with its flagship Practice School program. Students of this program receive many PPOs from top companies during internships arranged by the college itself.
Campus life: IMHO BITS offers the best campus life owing to the student-driven culture and great academic flexibility.
Performance: The institutes can be evaluated on the basis of the performance of their students in various entrance exams. IIT Roorkee students score the best in GATE, UPSC, etc. while BITS Pilani scores well in CAT, GMAT, and GRE.
Peer groups: The average student quality of both the institutes is somewhat similar with IIT Roorkee giving a slight edge to BITS Pilani in this aspect.

Both the colleges have their own strengths and weaknesses and comparing them is illogical. I would say that if you are genuinely interested in CSE, then Pilani will be better for you than Roorkee. But if you aren’t certain of your area of interest then choose IIT Roorkee for its IIT tag.
