Excellent placements: bits pilani has a strong industry network and consistently records high placement percentages, with many students securing job offers before graduation.
The faculty at bits are superb and also pretty chill at the same time.
Merit cum need scholarship is given to the best students who are poor but good in studies.

Dislikes

Grading is difficult , papers are also difficult
It has very bad bathing water, causes skin and hair issues
I hate the fact that there are lot of stray animals even in our hostels

There are a lot of clubs and departments in the college, where you get to learn team spirit, leadership and management along with acquiring skills.
The practice sschool system in BITS is expensive but is very effective. It provides internships to students based on thir Branch and CGPA.
Faculty is very experienced at BITS. You can do multiple projects under them and get to learn a lot of things.

Dislikes

The ratio of boys and girls is approxilately 1:8. More no. of boys in clubs and associations somethimes makes it uneasy for girls to participate.
The marking sysytem is extremly tough, if your procedure is correct but the final answer is not correct because of some small calculation mistakes

Placement Experience:

The 5 year course students become elligible for internishs after the end of 3rd year and for placements after the end of 4th year. The 4 year course students become elligible for internships after end of 2nd year and for placements after end of 3rd year. The practice school 1 takes place after end of 2nd year in summer for both 4 year and 5 year course students and offers unpaid internships. The Practice school 2 takes place in 4th year for 4 year courses and in 5th year for 5 year course students. Students can choose to sit in either of the semester for placements. Usually good IT companies come in odd semester and non core companies of product, consulting come in even semester. Comapnies like rubric, tower research capital offer package in crores. Usually 75% of students get placed with an average package of 15LPA.

The fee is actually more than it should be
The amenities are worse than they should be at the fee
There’s an in time at 10:30 it could be later/removed

The placements are decent but not this year, due to recession it's tougher, I don't plan on getting a job immediately after college, I think I'll go for mastets and then get a job after that. It'll be better post masters.

Placements in my college are probably the best in the country after iit bombay. ALL major companies hire from here in all fields. The placement process could be a bit better through but however it is not Another thing is placement stats here are quite epic for a private College And it is better than most iits as well

Course Curriculum Overview:

The teaching method of professors is brilliant. They will teach coding and programming. The time table of class is flexible according to students and professors. In this college exam is very tough. According to speed and accuracy you have enough time to complete the paper (exam)

Zero attendance policy of bits pilani campuses
Extremely consistent and high placements
Lushious, beautiful and evergreen campuses

Dislikes

No personal vehicles allowed for commuting within campus
Campus curfew at 10:30 pm at night for security purposes
Lots of animals present in campus due to animal friendly policy

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placemnts from their 3rd year. Campus also offers two compulsory internships during the 4th and 6th semester. Placemnets percentage is 89% while other 11% continued for higher studies or founded startups.

The campus is very beautiful and pollution free.
The faculty are amazing and you can make your own timetable.
There is no attendance requirement so you can attend any lecture you want.

Dislikes

Hostel infrastructure is old and security is less. Things have been stolen.
Hostels are not clean and washrooms are bad.
Mess food doesnt taste good and you have to pay regardless of whether you eat or not.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements start from sem 7 for single degree and sem 9 for dual degree. The list of recruiters is available on the bits pilani site. A few recruiters are Amazon. Apple, Microsoft, Cisco etc. I plan on making my own startup.

The amenities and equipment provided by the college are top-notch.With well furnished classrooms and centralised AC.And also a recording feature where students can Go through the classes Which they have missed if any
All the facilities in the college are PHD Holders And have very good prior teaching experience.
The college culture is really good and the fests conducted by the college are some of the best in South India.

Dislikes

The college is too far from the main city of Hyderabad and hence there is less exposure for the students from the city life
The girl to boy ratio in the campus is really bad standing at 1:6
There is nothing else one can dislike about the college

Placement Experience:

After completing the fifth semester , the students are eligible to sit for college placements. Many MNC's come to BITS HYDERABAD for placements which includes the likes of JP Morgan, Amazon, google, flipkart, American express, Bank of America, Uber... and the list goes on. The highest package offered last year was 60.75 lpa and the average package was 30 lpa while the median package was 30.50 lpa. Above ninety percent of the students get placed in the college.

Honest Review of BITS Hyderabad Campus

Things I like about the campus are that it is spacious and many unique vendors are available inside the campus itself. The campus life is good and we meet students from diverse backgrounds.
The academic structure is very flexible and unique. Minors, humanity electives and projects are valuable additions to our compulsory courses and allow us to pursue our various academic and interest-based goals outside of our nominal courses.
The professors are very approachable and sweet. They have a zestful approach to teaching and are willing to accomodate for students of various skill levels and talents. Doubt-clearing isn't a problem and professors are available in their own chambers

Dislikes

As the campus is on the outskirts of the city, it is very cumbersome to travel long distances to enjoy the city life. Timings to reach the campus from outside are quiet strict and freedom of movement is something one hardly gets.
The academic blocks are very distant from the hostels and so the students have to walk cumbersome distances. Certain classes are too far away and many students prefer to outright skip classes rather than put too much effort into attending them.
The grading is quite random and difficult. Students need to score quite high to have a respectable grade. Due to the numerous subjects one has to take per course, having a decent CGPA becomes quite tedious.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The use of Chemical Engineering is quite multifarious and important and that's why I chose the course. All the professors frequently show us real-word applications of their teaching material and they provide a chance to do projects under their purview for students who want to further pursue the course. The curriculum is quite heavy though, and could improve by cutting off unnecessary fluff. The teaching methods are quite good and no improvement is deemed necessary. The exams are quite concentrated towards the middle and end of the semester, which creates a very hectic atmosphere. The exams are quite tough and earning a decent grade takes a lot of effort.

The placements of the placements are quite good, but if if you are a good CG decent CG is good, but you have to work up on your CG their rate upon your CG. Otherwise, you’ll not have a great chance of getting a good placement.

Very inclusive, no one shies away from helping anyone

The course contains a ton of real life examples. Apart from lectures we also have tutorial classes where we are taught how to deal with such problems. In the lab we get to work on real projects and it helps us understand the concept much better than in just theory.

Is BITS Pilani "Pilani campus" better than IIT Roorkee or IIT Guwahati?

In my opinion, both BITS Pilani and IIT Roorkee are in the same league while IIT Guwahati is a bit inferior to them. Let’s discuss further on the basis of some very common aspects

Core subjects: BITS Pilani does not focus on core subjects and the research culture is also very inactive. This is because of the extremely laid-back curriculum and attendance policy. The research opportunities offered are very less in comparison to IITs
Placements: In this aspect, BITS Pilani definitely fairs better with its flagship Practice School program. Students of this program receive many PPOs from top companies during internships arranged by the college itself.
Campus life: IMHO BITS offers the best campus life owing to the student-driven culture and great academic flexibility.
Performance: The institutes can be evaluated on the basis of the performance of their students in various entrance exams. IIT Roorkee students score the best in GATE, UPSC, etc. while BITS Pilani scores well in CAT, GMAT, and GRE.
Peer groups: The average student quality of both the institutes is somewhat similar with IIT Roorkee giving a slight edge to BITS Pilani in this aspect.

Both the colleges have their own strengths and weaknesses and comparing them is illogical. I would say that if you are genuinely interested in CSE, then Pilani will be better for you than Roorkee. But if you aren’t certain of your area of interest then choose IIT Roorkee for its IIT tag.
