Exams are conducted at regular and are of moderate to difficult level, since relative grading is followed here the difficulty can vary depending on the course.

The placements of BITS are well known CSE having the highest package. Median package can be anything near 20lakhs. Also many students gets PPO from PS-2. Also apart from the IT domain many opportunities are available in all the field. Comapanies like Google, Microsoft,Amazon, Adobe, Goldman Sachs, Etc. visit the campus regularly. From 4th year 1st semester single degree students become eligible for placements.

The fee structure is clearly available on the website which many feel is on the higher side. You can apply for various scholarship like Merit, Student Aid Fund and Merit-cum-need scholarships which are available to almost 30% students of the batch. The amount of Scholarsip can vary from 25% of the tuition fees to 100% of tuition fees. Also you can take the role of Teaching Assistant which can make you earn about 12-15,0000 per semester.

There are three fests conducted- technical, sports and cultural. All the three fests are quite popular and there are very good DJ nights, concerts, comedy nughts, etc. during those time. Library is well equipped with a lot of resources lots of journal,e-journals, etc. are accessible to students. The lectures in classroom are recorded which helps mostly all the students before exam times. The club, sports and extra-curricular culture in campus is top notch.

The hostel facility is good as it is compulsory to take accomodation . The meals are much better than most of the other hostels mess. You are provided with breakfast, lunch,snacks and dinner in mess. The hostel and mess fees cumulatively costs about 1 lakh a year,

The exam conducted for admission to BITS is BITSAT and you should get the decent enough marks above cutoff in order to get the admission. They don't publish your rank it is purely on the basis of one's score. There are 2 sessions conducted for which the application fees is 5400 amd after both session gets over. There are about 7 iterations conducted and in every round admission letters are issued. The cutoff is not officially published until all the iterations finish, this thing can be improved.

The faculty to student ratio is quite good. Most of the facyulty members are always there to help students. All of them have lots of research going on and you can easily work with them in their research if you show enough interest to them. And mostly all of them loves to interact and teach with enthusiasm. There can be few professors which might not be liked by many but there are very few.
