- The college has opportunities of scholarships for students have family income less than 10 lakhs and the college is great helper in these cases
- Computer engineering students enjoy excellent placement opportunities, whereas for other branch students, there are fewer companies specifically in the core biotechnology sector.
- The campus infrastructure is one of the best thing, it's pretty, filled with beautiful buildings, comfortable classes fully air conditioned, greenery all around sports complex running lanes, during winters and autumn the weather is so pleasant here.
Dislikes
- I understand that there is a placement cell available here, but recently, the placements have not been very good.
- Some teachers are not good at teaching and problem here to to find a rrsouce to study the topic
- Fees is very high here which is the worst part here .

- Coding Culture is very prominent here and plenty of similar mindset people
- People are serious about their carrer and teachers too
- Placement of CSE Branches is decent here and infrastructure is nice including the library.
Dislikes
- Seating capacity is not quite efficient in library as during exams it is really hard to find a seat in library.
- The security is also not good here as people often jump off the walls to the other side.
- Faculty is rude here and does not support you fully in terms of knowledge.

2. Apple, Amazon, and JPMC made a decent number of offers with up to 8 vacancies.
3. Highest Package-44.5LPA and Lowest-2.5LPA.
4. Almost 80 Percent of students got placed.

- campus - there is a lot of greenery and large areas to enjoy night walks.
- classrooms - are really good with a nice ambience.
- library - the library is huge and a lot of sitting area is available.

- hostel mess - sodexo makes very disgusting food.

in 7 semesters companies start inviting students for placements.
a lot of companies visit here, almost any company you can think of is present here.
if you are in a computer science-related branch you will easily get a minimum package of 8-9 lacs and there is no max limit.

- Digital way of learning things. Everything is available on one click.
- The security they provide. Proper checking at main gates.

- Maybe a lot of course assignments and lab work
- Exams in very short intervals. Though good thing but as a student it is not
Placement Experience:
Taking about my course, the average package is around 11 lakhs and you are eligible for the internships after the completion of 2nd year. Companies start to come and by the end of 3rd year, you have your internship.

- I really liked the environment, It is really competitive and hard working.
- There are alot of opportunities to learn about alot of things.
- The faculty is really nice and helpful. They are always ready to help the students.
Dislikes
- The exams are very frequent which gives us less time to focus on extra-curriculars.
- The fees is too high. A middle class person might not be able to afford it.
- The return on investment is slightly low but this is the only option you have.

The students become eligible for placements in the 6th semester.
There are hundreds of companies that visit during placements. a detailed list is available on thapar.edu. The list includes JP morgan, Arcesium, IND money etc.

Placement Experience:
TIET has a dedicated placement cell that works closely with the industry to provide internship and job opportunities to students. The placement process involves pre-placement talks, aptitude tests, group discussions, and personal interviews.
Students become eligible for campus placements from the seventh semester of their B.Tech program, and the placement cell provides ample training and guidance to prepare them for the recruitment process.
TIET has a robust placement network, with top companies from various sectors such as IT, consulting, manufacturing, and finance visiting the campus for recruitment. Some of the prominent recruiters at TIET include Amazon, Microsoft, Deloitte, Samsung, Oracle, L&T, and Mahindra. The highest package offered at TIET is around 43 lakhs per annum, and the average package offered is around 11 lakhs per annum.

- Library - The library is huge and aesthetic, you won' find such environment anywhere else.
- Campus - The campus is too big, there are a lot of nice places to eat inside the campus only.
Dislikes
- Hostels - Sometimes they don't just listen to complaints and it takes a lot of time to get your problem rectified.
- Mess - Some hostels have Sodexo mess and their food is really bad.
Placement Experience:
In your 3rd year companies start inviting students for interviews. Basically almost all the companies you can think of come here. That is the best part of Thapar. If you are in the computer-related branch you will be placed with a minimum package of 8-9 lac per annum, with no upper limit.

students are about 10000 in college and in my branch about 120 in my year
Qualification of the faculty & review teaching method is very good and phd pass out.

Placement Experience:
The mechanical engineering department has to do an internship in 6 semesters and placements in the 8th semester. For mechanical core companies such as Hero Honda, Bajaj, JSPL, JSW, Vedanta, and various others around 60+ companies visit the campus. There was around 90% of students were placed in my batch. I have to work in corporate hence I got an opportunity to work with JSPL.

Thapar University has a brand name, however, the ground reality for this university is not very pleasant and it is swiftly losing the qualities that defined it in its glorious past. The rankings of students enrolled in the university are going down each year. The administration is taking serious measures against the same, however, because of these measures the other students are suffering. One example is the strict entry and exit timings.
Academically, your experience in this institution will differ according to your branch. The CSE branch has a cooperative faculty and lenient attendance criteria. This is not the case for other branches. In other branches, some faculty members may hold personal grudges against you while some may fail you for missing the required attendance mark (75%) by as small as 0.1%. The mess is below average and the classrooms are not very impressive. The administration is very slow.
However, there are positive points about Thapar University as well. The alumni from Thapar are placed in some of the best companies in India and abroad. It has some of the best synthetic courts in any engineering college in India. There are many teachers at Thapar University who serve as a source of inspiration to their students. Sports facilities for all the major sports are great. Placements at Thapar University are great and the labs are well updated. Even though Thapar is facing a drug problem, its teachers and administration are very active in trying to solve this issue.
Thus, even though Thapar University has outlived its glorious days, it has some positive points too. It is completely your choice whether or not you wish to take admission into it.

Thapar University offers a good MCA program. The institute has a brilliant MCA faculty base. It offers good learning resources, and laboratory facilities to meet the requirement of students.
Thapar University placement highlights show the average CTC offered to MCA students is around INR 7 LPA. While the highest CTC offered is around INR 8 LPA. TCS, Infosys, and Fidelity are among the major recruiters in the placement drive.
