EXPERIENCE OF SLIET LONGOWAL

Likes

I like the nature maintained in the campus
i like the hostel area and how it,s maintained
The sports ground and badminton court etc

Dislikes

Crowd of the campus as many are here for diploma
Reachability and lack of transport nothing available after 7 pm
Lack of complex area those are available are not offering that great variety of food

Placement Experience:

You get eligible for placements from the final year and companies start coming from that time only. This year companies like Mahindra, JSW, Torrent GAS, SML etc visited our college for mechanical placements the highest package for the mechanical people was offered around 10 lacs by Godrej Limited. And the average package has become 4.5 lakhs The plan is to get Post graduate with Mtech

Best is the faculty and workers of this college
Workshop and lab facility are amazing in this college
Work culture is amazing for new students

Dislikes

Gaurding system is very bad of guards in hostels
Water system is also very bad I really don't like it

The placement of the college is also good the average package is 4 lpa and the range is from 4 lpa to 20 lpa. This college mostly the cs students will get the placements in the college I will get in placement after college

over restrictions sometime is Suffocating for us but good for the students

the placement of the college is good the average package of this college is approx 4lpa to 20 lpa the main company visit here are mass hiring companies and the placement of computer science students are very good

SLIET ( A MODERN GURUKUL)

Likes

It campus which is full of greenery. I can't express the feel of night view of college
Its faculties are also very supportive. Here you can call your HOD in case of emergency.
It's lab full of all necessary instruments

Dislikes

It's mess food is the worst thing of this college
It's exam pattern which was totally waste.
It's rules for the students which is only in paper , not on existence

Placement Experience:

The current median package given by companies in campus placement is 4.1 lakh but the college is improving its placement to students ratio. The previous year out of 470, 350+ students got placed with a good package.

The placements are very good. In the last academic year 2021-2022, 350 students are placed out of 560, where 456 are eligible for placements. Many companies come for campus placements. Like Mahindra, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, torent gas, Unilever, sml, and many more.

I like most campus life here, here the campus is full of green lush.

Dislikes

The location of college is in the village and it is 20 KM away from main city.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The ranking of the college is quite good, and it's a type of deemed university under the government of INDIA called GFTI which is a Government funded technical institute. Teaching staff and faculties are qualified many of them are passed from IIT and they are enough qualified to teach students in a better way. Quality of teaching is also good here, most of the curriculum is based on industries so the students not facing any type of difficulties and problems during working in industries.

Seniors and staff behaviour. Campus area and security

Dislikes

Some counted faculty, management, hostel mess food.
Treat you as if you are the most intelligent in the world.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from the 6th sem onwards for ppe. Companies like JSW, L&T, etc. visit our campus. The highest is around 14lpa and the average is 4lpa. Around 81% of students get placed in mechanical. I would pursue higher studies after the completion of my degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The faculty here is very supportive if you want to grow they will support you in every possible manner. Here every faculty is above PhD or pursuing a PhD. The examination is on time only as it happen in May and another in Dec.

Likes

Campus is lush green and covers 450 acres which gives a healthy environment
Extra curricular activities and sport facilities are given
Faculties are friendly and teaching is also up to the mark

Dislikes

The merging of jee students and diploma students after first year is the worst decision of this college
Canteen are not near the hostels so it’s very tiring to get food
Many restrictions on campus including limited walkable space for students

Placement Experience:

Third-year students are eligible. Many companies visit our college every year and our placement record is decent. 18LPA was offered this year as the highest and 70+ per cent of students get placements. My plans are to opt for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Placement in the mechanical branch is the plus point here there are companies available from the start of the final year. Mahindra, SML, Godrej, and Honda, etc. are some of those who visited the college this year. The highest Package offered by the company was 10 Lakhs by the godrej. The average package goes around 4.5 lakhs.
