The minimum eligibility for admission to Ph.D Computer Applications at LPU is Post Grad with 55%+ LPUNEST.

Pass with 55% aggregate marks or equivalent grades prescribed by UGC in the Master's Degree* (2 year or 4 semester Master’s Degree after a 3 year Bachelor’s Degree #) or equivalent in the relevant subject to qualifying LPUNEST and Interview.

# Candidate who has completed 1-year/2-semester master's degree* programme with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or equivalent grades prescribed by UGC after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree is also eligible.

* in M.Tech. or M.E./MS ( with CSE or IT or Computer Engineering or Software Engineering or Networking and Security or Information Systems or Data Science and Analytics or Cyber Security and Forensics or Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning or Computing Systems and Infrastructure or Software Systems or Cloud Computing or Mobile Computing ) or equivalent.

A candidate who has completed 4-years/8-semesters bachelor’s degree in relevant field with 75% aggregate marks or equivalent grades prescribed by UGC and have minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in teaching/research/Industry is also eligible subject to qualifying LPUNEST and Interview.

NOTE: If an institute has conversion factor of 9.5 then CGPA of 7.5 will not result in 75% marks and hence such a candidate will not be eligible.

(A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC or ST or OBC (non-creamy layer) or Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time.)

Admission Criteria :

• An applicant will be short listed for interview on the basis of his/ her score in the entrance examination LPUNEST (Ph.D.).
• The final selection for admission in Ph.D. will be based on the performance in Entrance Test (70% weightage) and Interview (30% weightage) subject to scoring minimum marks in the Interview.
