Likes

The labs instrument are so good in my department. The environment in the campus is also very good. Greenery in the campus is the best thing.
Library of the campus is good. You can study in the reading room or the main Library in the free time when u want to study.
They give priority to the sports also which is very good approach from the campus.

Dislikes

The food in the hostel are average. Sometimes we get good good sometimes not.
Teachers are good here but sometimes they do not listen properly to students

Placement Experience:

In the last sem the students became eligible for the placements in the campus. In their final year the campus placements are there companies like TCS,etc. also came here for the requiring the students. N.o of companies visiting the uni vary yearly. Students should have percentage above 60.

Everything you need to know about the place your are going to spend your best 4-5 years.

Likes

Greenery in the campus, trees are everywhere.
Freedom that the students get there, no hard and fast rules.
Too many fests , quizzes and games going on throughout the year.

Dislikes

More than required liniency in most of the areas
Lots of powercuts , especially during the summers.
No air conditioner in the classrooms even the fans barely work

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is not so fun. They focus mostly on theoretical knowledge and completing the syllabus. We have never been provided with real world application of thr course. Teachers are keenly focused on completing their number of lectures and syllabus that the forget to talk a out real world to their students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Wi-Fi is good. The labs have almost everything we need. The classrooms could be bigger. The hostel is fine but small. The students are friendly. The food is good. The washrooms are dirty. Overall, the infrastructure is fine but too old and requires renewalThe infrastructure of our college is very huge and attractive. Many movies have been recorder here because of its beautiful building. There are more than 7 hostels in college. The quality of food is 7/10. There is a great focus on sports activities.

A roller coater life in university

Likes

Campus, is large green and beautifully made
Staff is well educated and serious about studies
Extracurricular activities are also well looked

Course Curriculum Overview:

Genetics is a very interesting course one can choose if you are a medical enthusiast. I think there should be more seriousness about the courses and teaching methods i think are really fast teaching The timing of exams is also good like our msts are for 1hr.

The faculty is quite expert at their own respective levels. Our department is quite amiable and concerned at the same time for their students,
Also the infrastructure is 4/5 . Classes, labs are quite well-equipped.
The events organized are great fun to participate and watch as audience at the same time.

Dislikes

The attendance is quite compulsive to maintain for your own department lectures.

Placement Experience:

GNDU has a placement cell that offers internships to 50% of students. Students of 2018-2019 batch were selected by Omics International, 2019-20 by IDSIL Infotech,2023-24 by IDS Infotech from dept of Human Genetics.

It's good but not enough

Likes

Environment is good and greenary everywhere
Safety is also good we don't face anything bad there
Infrastructure is good in some conditions

Dislikes

Faculties is not that much satisfying in studies
Use old methods of study need to adopt new technology and improve the syllabus also
Make the things more practical than therotical

They should need to improve there curriculum and teaching methods they use the old methods like which are used in 90's according to time they need so new technology and most importantly they should focus on practical work more than therotical which helps in real life world not in books only

As college name is khalsa so they represent khalsa in a very good way
2nd thing is college do not organise fresher and all there is arambh diwas is the starting of the session. In which baba ji path , langer, seva and all is organise by college
This college is not only connecting us with college it also connects us with god 🫀

I got to know about this course from my cousin but now im very thankful to him bcoz i like practical work more then studying and my field is regarding practicals mostly. In our college other competitive exams also held aur college is also the centre for competitive exams

The overall experience for a fresher is amazing,there is no ragging in the campus. The faculty is amazing, all are PhD and very experienced. Seniors are very friendly. We have 2 big fests in year, one is inter department and other is inter University
The library! Oh my God, I can not praise anything more than the library of our university. You will find books of every subject there , you will be able to access free journals and newspapers and research papers. basically that library is a treasure
The people there are so friendly , you will find amazing friends for yourself there . You will be able to learn so much there because you will do so many activities like fests, sports. This university is famous for its sports activities and athletes

Dislikes

The infrastructure is not very developed, it needs to be developed. But it is a government university so obviously infrastructure is not that good. It can be improved. It looks the same as it looked years ago means no development in the infrastructur
Hostel food is really bad . When you go there, in the starting they make really yummy food but after a month you will start hating the food. You'll eat a lot of junk because of that bad food but yeah sometimes they make really good food but it's rare

Placement Experience:

Students can avail internships after completion of their 3rd year of degree, if they're lucky enough they can go for placements also . My plans after getting the degree is to go for higher studies that is PhD .

A more about khalsa college amritsar

Likes

I like the parking very much it is very huge
I like the canteen it has more than 5 canteens in my colllege
There are more than enough space in our college classroom

Dislikes

The benches in which we sit are very hard
The car parking is not allowed in the campus
Most of my friends roam around but no one told them to go back

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is quite good It has knowledge about data science data mining Artificial intelligence and how robots work and It also teches us punjabi language and other creative writing and also one of the main subject is drug abuse

My Genuine Opinion For My College

Likes

Teachers are very helpful and have good teaching skills
There are many new things to learn which will help Us in future
The infrastructure of the college in well and good

Dislikes

Some of the teachers don’t take class seriously
Some of the subjects are of no use for example creative writing
There is no security in the college campus

Placement Experience:

There are very less placements of Khalsa College Amritsar, other than that I don't have good idea about the placement cell of our college Khalsa College Amritsar. Amazon and infosis are some companies visited our campus
