Eligibility Criteria
Candidates satisfying the following criteria are eligible to apply for the Five-Year Integrated Program in Management of IIM Shillong 2025-30.
- Age: Candidate should have been born on or after July 01, 2005 (5 years of relaxation to the candidates from SC/ST/DA category will be given, i.e., born on or after July 01, 2000).
- Minimum Qualifying Marks
- Candidates must have a minimum of 60% in their 10th grade/SSC examinations and 12th grade/HSC or equivalent examinations (55% for candidates from SC/ST/DA categories).
- Candidates who are likely to complete standard XII/ HSC or equivalent by July 31, 2025, can also apply, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria as mentioned above. If selected, such candidates will be offered admission to the program on a provisional basis.
- Candidates must have studied mathematics or applied mathematics as a subject in Standard XI and XII.
- Entrance Test: Candidates must have appeared for the IPMAT (Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test) conducted by IIM Indore. IIM Shillong will consider the IPMAT scores for shortlisting candidates for the Personal Interview (PI) process.

Will poor marks in 12th (around 68%) and a drop year have any affect on IPM IIM Indore interview?
Obviously, a low score may affect your interview but only a little. The key is to justify your low scores confidently and also answer any questions that are asked from your 12th syllabus.
Another way is to highlight your extra-curricular activities and achievements. Mention your other strengths but don’t lie about anything.
As far as the drop year is concerned I don’t think it will be much of a hurdle in your selection process because a major chunk of IPM students has taken a drop year. Still, you should be able to specify the reason for the same if asked.
