Likes

I like the infrastructure and the classrooms cibes those are unique and also the atmosphere was amazing
Playing cricket in ground with our friends sitting on the stairs on the ground and discussing everything overthere.

Dislikes

Mess food i almost wont have my breakfast dinner and lunch i mostly eat in canteen i think mess menu and taste should be changed

Placement Experience:

From completion of 6th semester there is availbility of getting jobs and placed. There are so many companies visited and sacked most of the students and still going on. It is above 80% the placements have been acheiving from past years. I want to do job for financial supprot for my family and then do MBA in IIM and get settled for life.

Best of Bombay

Likes

College environment is very good and beautiful.
The sports and cultural clubs conduct various events
The placements are very good and have high packages

Dislikes

The academics here are very tuff and the exams are also difficult
The college mess sometimes is not good and homely.
Due to the all India rankers of India too much competition

Placement Experience:

In Indian institute of technology Bombay some particular branches get internships in the second year itself . The placements generally start in the second semester of third year and fourth year. Many top companies in India approach iit Bombay for placements.

Life in IIT BOMBAY

Likes

All the extracurriculars are good, you are provided with unlimited wifi
Teaching quality is high and you get many opportunities to explore
Placement salaries are high and internships are easy to find

Dislikes

Hostel rooms having two per room and size of them
There is nothing more that I disliked at all

Placement Experience:

7th semester. All the top companies, GOOGLE MICROSOFT UBER FRANKLIN TEMPLETON INRIA RENNES, 99% students get placed. I plan on continuing my job. Highest package is 3.6Cr per annum and average package is 23LPA

IIT Bombay : pros and cons

Likes

The friends that I have made here till now
The fact that everyone is shocked in my family that I have reached IIT Bombay even though I was from general category
When someone asks me to which college I am from I say IIT Bombay with pride

Dislikes

Hostel facilities are not up to the mark.
The exams are too hard to pass and get a good grade in.
The grading system is not that good and placement for chemical is average

Placement Experience:

Placements of IIT Bombay are relatively better than most colleges in India but placements in Chemical engineering are not that good. The median package for Chemical department was 16 lap last year which is not good at all

Likes

The hostel life and the facilities provided.
You get to meet a lot of diverse people.
The annual fests in the college are the best.

Dislikes

The hostel rooms are double sharing rooms.
The mess food could be improved much more
The campus is so big that you have to walk a lot

Placement Experience:

Placement starts in the pre final semester for all students. The placements are good and most students get placed. The highest packages go as high as about 3 CR per annum. The lowest ones are about 6LPA

Review Of IIT-Bombay

Likes

Beautiful campus and excellent campus life with many good batchmates to enjoy with
Library and faculty infrastructure is very good, college has a very huge library
The hostels infrastructure and the food is very good here in every Hostel anf the night life is also good inside the campus

Dislikes

the professors are too much strict for discipline and studies
due to large campus area, academic buildings are far away from hostels
the students male female ratio is very poor especially in all IIT colleges

Placement Experience:

Form 6th semester, tye students become eligible for college placements and there are a large number of companies that visit our college including Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Meta etc. the average package varies around 15 to 18 lpa every year while the highest package goes upto 1cr+ for some students, but most of tge students gets placed by the mid of 8th semester

Likes

Availability of 24 hours Reading Room. Extra reading room provided during Exams. Library is also built with each sort of books.
Every type of Social Groups and Clubs are available. Students can explore according to their interests.
Good infrastructure inside campus, provide parking spce.

Dislikes

Mess food is just average. Sometime food provided are not eatable but sometimes good also.
Some courses are just wastage of time which has no use in modern time and technology.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placement from last year. More than 250+ companies visit every year with 1000+ offers, including Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sach, Accenture, Barclays, Airbus, Honda, P&G, OLA, TATA steel, etc. Highest Package offered are 2Crore and average package is 15Lakh. More than 90% students getting placed. My Plans after getting degree is to get placement in good Tech Company.

Economics at IIT Bombay

Likes

The beautiful campus and the greenary which looks so beautiful especially in rainy season
The departments with so good facilities and labs
The natural attractions like lake and hills nearby as well as the attractions located in Mumbai which are nearby

Dislikes

Sometimes the mess food quality becomes too low
The amount of public vehicles available are less than sufficient
Hostel infrastructure of second and third year hostels is very old and sometimes scary

It's IIT Bombay so placements are good enough. A lot of companies visit here giving various positions. In the first semester of final year placements happen and it is also easy to get job outside also. Most of the package fall between 9 to 16 lakhs. Mean package of 2024 batch is around 16 lakhs

The amount of things that I can explore and pursue here.
Everyone is super helpful right from your batchmates to your seniors and faculty members.
The social life that you can experience over here is extremely good.

Dislikes

Some professor follow strict attendance policy of 80%.

Placement Experience:

The placements happen before your last semester from December 1. It happens in two phases: the first is from December 1 to 15, and the second is from January to March. This year, due to the recession, the numbers were very discouraging, but still, around 300+ companies visited the campus in phase 1, and around 1000 students were placed. Also, around 200 students had accepted pre-placement offers they got through their summer internships. The highest will be around 3 cr, and the average will be around 22-23 LPA.

Likes

The culture of the institute and hostel culture
Lots of opportunities to learn and grow and excel
Mood Indigo is v nice and good placements

Dislikes

Nothing to dislike. I happen to like the stay there
Nothing to dislike. I happen to like the stay here
Sometimes professors are v stupid and old

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course coz I like the iit tag. Lots of opportunities here. V bright students and faculties. Faculties are v highly intelligent, and teaching methods are not v good tho. Exams were timely and difficult exams
