- Placement and alumini: the institute has an immense alumini network along with the placement cell which attracts the top high paying companies ensuring good job opportunities for the students.it also enables research and further studies.
- I appreciate nitc's commitment to academic excellence, with a strong faculty and diverse range of courses that provide a well-rounded education.
- I like the cultural fests like festivals being celebrated here which is very nice .
Dislikes
- In nit calicut gym was not free we want pay for it this thing i really hatred
- Fees are very high when we compared to other nits nit calicut collecting more fees which becoming heavy burden to poor students like me they don't even giving concession most of the people are not getting scholarships
- Our hostels are too old and actually it is alloted for 3 people but they are keeping 4 people in a room wash rooms are also not so good.

- The ambience which NIT provides is so nice and you hardly needs 30 mins to Calicut town
- Each hostel is having separate mess and you can try different ones each month

- First year is packed with courses for masters and no much time to relax
- Sometimes the food quality in mess used to decline based on whether it is a vacation time
- Midnight services to Calicut is limited and you need to depend on cab at midnight
Placement Experience:
The placements are fluctuating over period based on the industry demands, but still getting placed over offcampus drives are also high. Most of the structural engineering consulting companies visit the campus every year.

- I appreciate the climate of the college and course curriculums of M.Tech.
- College life is very nice and there will be so many social interactions and faculty interaction is also good. Faculty will teach very nice and they are very knowledgable.
- Many big companies will visit the college and on an average every company will select 5 to 10 people.
Dislikes
- College politics and respective state people domination
- sometimes feel stress while working under project guide but not everytime
- There is not much details for disliking the college
Placement Experience:
from 2nd semester onwards, students are eligible for the internships and placements.
Companies like Samsung, IBM, Texas, NVIDIA, Intel, UTS, etc.... visited our college and on an average 50 to 60 offers made.
Highest package offered is TEXAS which is 39.5LPA for both analog & digital role and average package is 18LPA

Course Curriculum Overview:
I choose this course because as the semiconductor industry going to boom between 2022-2030 so there will be more jobs available. faculty to student ratio is around 1:20 .all the faculty are PhD and above degree qualified. review the teaching of faculty is excellent. there will be two exams one is mid-term in which you will easily pass but in the end term, there will be some difficulty in passing

Placement Experience:
The college offers one of the best CSE programme placements. The college has a perfect placement rate. The college placement council is extremely helpful; they guide us through the entire placement process. Our batch's highest package was around 40 LPA, and the average salary offer was around 10.75 LPA. During the placement drive, companies such as Accenture, Amazon, Bajaj Auto, CGI India, Capgemini, Big Basket, DE Shaw, Microsoft, Google, and Samsung visited our campus.

Placement Experience:
The college provides good placement packages and the college placement is as per the industrial standards and good opportunities are provided to us. The college placement committee plays a very crucial role as the committee is very dedicated and the plus point of the committee is that they are aware of your interest and they totally help us to get selected in good companies. The highest package for our batch was around 28 LPA and the average salary package was around 10.75 LPA.

Remarks:
A college of good reputation, Curriculum is jam packed to keep the students busy all the time. More emphasis is given for reasearch works and for publishing papers in the reputed journals. Even the students have good track record of getting placed in good companies with handsome packages

Ranking was good and placements were good too. Admissions process was like after counselling we had to report to college for admission and register for courses. Official NTA website and GATE websites were used for process

Placement Experience:
From the 3rd semester onwards, you become eligible to seat in the placement drive. Companies like 'general electric', 'Goldmann Sachs', 'MRF', 'Dell', 'UTS airspace are some of the big companies along with 'Federal Bank and coaching institutes 'BYJU', 'Akaash' etc. The highest package was 33 Lacs/A and on average 8-10 Lacs/A. But my plan after M.Tech. was to go for higher studies, therefore, I was not interested in the placement drive.

My sister completed her B.Tech from NIT Calicut a few years back. As a female student, she had a bitter experience at this college. Here are some of the things that she noticed during her stay at NIT Calicut-
- The girls hostel is very strict regarding outings. There is a fixed curfew from 7 pm to 6 am. Even for staying on campus after 7 pm, special permission is required.
- There are instances where you might encounter racism in the most casual manner, this is especially true for North Indian students.
- The hostel and college staff are blatantly partial towards female students and those who complain are told to leave the college.
- There is a system of daily roll call for female hostellers, which is again a gender-biased rule. The Resident Tutors are not supportive or helpful and may scold you for not attending the roll call even if you are new and not well aware of the hostel procedures.
- During LAN work or other repairs, no female attendee is present with the male workers within the girls hostel premises. The girls are expected to follow all the precautionary measures and no strict rules are laid for the male workers.
NIT Calicut is an institute of national importance with an excellent reputation and great placement records. However, as a female hosteller, my sister faced these obstacles which caused unnecessary frustration for her.
