Remarks

A college of good reputation, Curriculum is jam packed to keep the students busy all the time. More emphasis is given for reasearch works and for publishing papers in the reputed journals. Even the students have good track record of getting placed in good companies with handsome packages

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Since, with relative grading, passing the exams is not very difficult but questions are set at a higher application level to test the understanding of students and also to prevent them from scoring high.

Placement Experience

4

The students in the pre-final year are eligible for internships. Internships are provided for two, six or twelve months depending upon the company's requirements. The students of final year are eligible for placements. Currently, companies like Google, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase and Co. etc. have visited the college for recruitment. The highest package offered as of now is 67LPA

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees of NIT Calicut is very affordable and since MTech and PhD students get stipend, so there is no need of any more financial assistance and scholarship. Although, there are many scholarship available from ministry of education for the students of BTech.

Campus Life

4.5

I am sorry, since I have not been to the college campus since the start of my course, I wouldn't be able to provide relevant information about this. Although there are different clubs for dramatics, poetry, Artificial intelligence etc.

Hostel Facilities

3

Currently, I am staying at my home since the start of the course due to Covid-19. But according to the website of NIT Calicut, there are 11 hostels and few flats for men. For girls, there are 2 hostels. All these hostels have messes of their own. There are different messes for veg and non-veg, south and north indian.

Admission

No, there were no GDs and interviews. The selection criteria is GATE exam. Upon clearing this, interested candidates apply to a centralised counseling for M.Tech (CCMT) in which all the NITs of India will be participating

Campus placements are highly volatile taking the stats from over the past three years there has been an up trend as well a down trend, I hope I will get placed through on campus interviews, the highest package of this year was for two graduates who got into IBM with 22 lakhs per aanum, there are few who didn't get into any of the companies while there were others who got int Amazon and other reputated companies, if I do not get into a reputed company through my college on campus placements the. I'll be aiming for higher educations most probably

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's always relevant to the content being taught by the teachers. They always use application based questions to prepare us for a real life situation as well. First aid training was also completed. Some of the teachers are very interactive while some not. Short exams are conducted on a weekly basis while internal exams are conducted every 2/3 months. Not that difficult but it isn't that easy either. Very strict checking, nothing is liberal.
