- Placement and alumini: the institute has an immense alumini network along with the placement cell which attracts the top high paying companies ensuring good job opportunities for the students.it also enables research and further studies.
- I appreciate nitc's commitment to academic excellence, with a strong faculty and diverse range of courses that provide a well-rounded education.
- I like the cultural fests like festivals being celebrated here which is very nice .
Dislikes
- In nit calicut gym was not free we want pay for it this thing i really hatred
- Fees are very high when we compared to other nits nit calicut collecting more fees which becoming heavy burden to poor students like me they don't even giving concession most of the people are not getting scholarships
- Our hostels are too old and actually it is alloted for 3 people but they are keeping 4 people in a room wash rooms are also not so good.

- Placements are terrible this year due to recession.
- Mess food is kerela style which other state people dislike mostly.
- Very humid and hot, water scarcity in summer
Placement Experience:
Placements are terrible as it is recession period. Last year it was good. Average package was 10-12. But this year it is 7 and company visits are less this year and hiring is decreased by almost 70%.

- College location climate is good greenery which makes us to feel like home
- Good and experienced faculty . They guide students well
- We have different playgrounds for different sports

- No wifi connection in hostels and no hot water
- Not all faculty are well trained enough to teach
- No proper bus route facility distance from hostel to classroom is more

Since my childhood I had interest in construction field that's why I choose civil engineering over other branches
Faculty are good well trained
Some of the faculty are not explaining the topics well
Faculty are wantedly making students fail

- And my friends changed my btech life in beautiful way
- Kerala has mesmerizing greenery in our surroundings
Dislikes
- Food is adjustable for non malayalis for other state people like Andhra they should adjust
- Nitc has old infrastructure that should be renewal that will attract students .
- Changing canteens temporarily which makes students to face problem
Placement Experience:
Student from semester seven can sit for placement in our college. Companies like Oracle, Bajaj etc visited our college. The highest package was around 60Lakhs and the average is around 12 lakhs Around 60- 70 percentage of students are getting placed.

- Sports facilities and tournmaents such as inter nit, inter branch, inter department
- Campus life with friends and curriculum followed here.
Dislikes
- Worst thing here is faculty is they are not good as expected
- Transport problem from hostel to the classes
- Lack of combined activities to make the student to interact more with each other
Placement Experience:
From the third year it self student scan applications for placement, and internships.
Many companies visit here like Tata, tcs, Texas instruments, Wipro, LT and more.
Last year in ece it was 36 lakh per anum is the highest and with average of around 20 lakh.
I am planning to write a gate exam and get into an IIT for further studies.

My sister completed her B.Tech from NIT Calicut a few years back. As a female student, she had a bitter experience at this college. Here are some of the things that she noticed during her stay at NIT Calicut-
- The girls hostel is very strict regarding outings. There is a fixed curfew from 7 pm to 6 am. Even for staying on campus after 7 pm, special permission is required.
- There are instances where you might encounter racism in the most casual manner, this is especially true for North Indian students.
- The hostel and college staff are blatantly partial towards female students and those who complain are told to leave the college.
- There is a system of daily roll call for female hostellers, which is again a gender-biased rule. The Resident Tutors are not supportive or helpful and may scold you for not attending the roll call even if you are new and not well aware of the hostel procedures.
- During LAN work or other repairs, no female attendee is present with the male workers within the girls hostel premises. The girls are expected to follow all the precautionary measures and no strict rules are laid for the male workers.
NIT Calicut is an institute of national importance with an excellent reputation and great placement records. However, as a female hosteller, my sister faced these obstacles which caused unnecessary frustration for her.
