Likes

Cleanliness the workers are very dedicated they fix most of the issues fast
Vast campus to roam good for walking nice exercise
Projects we did atleast one mini project in our semester it is really helpful for the resume

Dislikes

Many things starting with less availability of buses to campus, small buildings ,worst infrastructure of the classrooms, no AC but it is like die situation in kerela due to hotness
Food the mess food is not that great same menu for most of the days
Few washrooms in hostel for the whole floor we have only like 4 washrooms

Course Curriculum Overview

I was interested in communication field so I chose this. The faculty is good as expected. The faculty are very qualified most of them have done PhD in their respective course . We have term exams every 2 and half months one mid and one end sem. The paper for few is difficult and for few it is moderate

Placement Experience

Last year the hiring for our seniors was very good for our year they are taking a really less people so most of the students are kinda depressed about employment. Our placement hr is not that good with dealing with the companies as heard from the tumors as he is new so he is having a trouble to negotiate with the companies. Right now less than 50% of students are placed

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is payable, they provide scholarships for any backward students based on the income or based on the reservation we have the course fees. I haven't received any scholarship. I am trying for job right now

Campus Life

I am a active participant in clubs and events. We have a cultural and tech fest every year and we get a lot of participants from all over India. Library is very well maintained in our college we can find most of the books and it is very peaceful for studying. As for sports it's not that well maintained the fields but it is fine because for cricket and few sports we have the facility. We have SAC that is students affair council they work hard but the management doesn't listen to them that's the issue.But I am happy with my clg life I have participated in many events.

Hostel Facilities

As for hostel the first years rooms are not that good but for others its fine the washrooms are ok ok manageable they keep it clean but we don't have washing machines most of the iits and nits have it we have to pay 10rs for each cloth. We don't have lan in 4th yr hostels and the wifi is not that good so we have trouble with the internet.the food is ok ok we can eat that's it.

Admission

I wrote jee mains based on my rank I got my seat in NITC. I had reservation benefits as I was ST so based on my ST rank I got my seat.I got a percentile of 92.The college doesn't have any application form or anything you get the seat based on your rank.

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college.
