I was unable to adjust to the food here.

Course Curriculum Overview

I was interested in cse and ece.according to my college preference I got ece..Faculty is good.Exams are tough as this is reputed university but we can go through it by getting help from friends while preparation.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 60000 per year

Placement Experience

From 3rd year students are eligible for internships.Many top companies are coming and offers are decent.But now many companies are not coming due to recession.Many people are getting placed.Placemets rate is comparatively good.There is decent amount of salary offering by companies.I plan on pursuing masters.I am writing GATE. About 80% are getting placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee can be afforded by anyone as this has comparatively low than other colleges.There are many scholarships offered like NSP.Placements are good but due to recession placement is not good in many colleges.Offered stipend is also decent

Campus Life

Fests are too good in this college.There are ragam and tatha.One is cultural fest and other is technical one.Library is good and there are many books available.Classrooms are decent and basic amenities are available.I enjoy Sports and extracurricular activities .Many clubs are there for many interests of students

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is decent with bed,study table ,rack etc.Menu is good for native people.students from other states may take time to adjust.Registration process everything is mentioned in official website.I took hostel offered by the college.

I went through JOSAA process.I applied for some colleges according to my rank.I was eligible for nit calicut ece and I opted for other colleges.Application form,fees,and dates are all available in official website.Fee is one of the benefits for reservation.

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college. Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too....Read More
