IIST Trivandrum Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I like mostly the technology that makes the rockets fly so the aerospace engineering mostly dwells on the fuel combustion systems of different categories and fuel states and also the flight body the inside tech of satellite preparation and all are done by the avionics department they to study flight systems but mostly in this computing and from IIST we can do projects for isro directly. The curriculum is already well prepared and timed which gives us time to stress on topics of utmost importance for longer periods and also enjoy the college life with club activities and sports and fests. They already ask us every semester through a online review portal which is must individually for every teacher for every sem for improvements and course managements.

Most of the Students are being absorbed by ISRO. The rest are palced in different companies in Campus Placements. Almost 90% got palcement and some of them opt for higher studies. The companies like Dhruva Aerospace, Texas Intruments, Mercedes Benz, Bellatrix Aeroapce, CDAC, DRDO, ISRO, Intel, Mathworks, Skyroot Aerospace, Bosch, Mahindra, Agnikul Cosmos, SatSure etc. visit for Campus Plecement. The average is 11 LPA. The Highest would be 45 LPA. My plan is either getting placed in ISRO or go for higher studies in Aerospace Engineering.

There are placement drives in the 7th semester and internship can be applied from 3rd semseter itself. Opportunities are available at Institute around and also at SSpace. But major attraction is placement at ISRO

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

We are directly recruit by ISRO by simply an interview if you have cgpa above 7.5 and other companies also came for placement here placements are good here but here student are more research specific not placement.

Placements happen in last semester of college. All students as of the current 2020 batch have a mandatory bond of 3 years to serve in ISRO organisations. From 2021 batch onwards, all companies are allowed to recruit from campus and there is no mandatory bond. companies visited include: ISRO DRDO HAL Mercedes benz Intel HP Skyroot Aerospace Garuda Aerospace etc. I plan to join DRDO as Scientist-C after completion of my degree

Here generally students are placed in the ISRO( Indian Space Research Organization) and from the 2021 batch students will be interviewed by the ISRO board and will placed accordingly and average package provided by isro is around 12 lpa.

In the Indian institute of space science and technology the course and curriculum were so good and contains the latest syllabus I choose this course as I m interested in it. The teacher and staff are well qualified.

The placement of the college is decent but the college maintains a record of 100% placement. ISRO is one of the major recruiter of the college. ISRO, ISAC Bengaluru, Tata Consultancy Services, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, Viz Experts, Analog Devices, Mercedes Benz are the major recruiters of the college. The highest placement offer goes up to 11 LPA and the average salary package is around 7.50 LPA. The college placement committee is very professional and cooperative and they really support us during the college placemtn drive.

It is a college under control of Indian Space Research Organization and the faculties of this college are highly experienced and qualified. The library and laboratories are great. Also there is opportunity for students to do internships at ISRO. After completing the course students get job opportunities in ISRO based on merit. The location of the college is also good, accessibility won't be a problem. Railway station and airport is available within 30 kms. The city is also easily accessible and would satisfy our needs. There are also a lot of greenery in the campus.
