IIST Trivandrum Scholarship 2026: Amount, Eligibility, Selection Criteria

Life in only space college of INDIA

Fees and Financial Aid:

Semester Fees for General - 77,660 (Includig Hostel fees). Food fees has to be payed seperately. There are scholarships for SC/ST/OBCs with limited annual income of 5 lakh/annum People above 9 cgpa are exempted from fees in next semester.

My life until now in IIST

I pay 20k per semester and extra 15k for the mess food I'm an obc category student and if u have no reservations then 60k per semester and the mess charges remain same and if u are from sc or st caste no money needed for course but mess charges remain same and this year reliance digital marketing company gave free laptops but with certain conditions to be met all in the category above as mentioned but entries economical earnings must be lower then their bar mentioned there is no need for other fees except 5k for caution deposit.For joining here you have to pass the jee advanced exam and enroll in a seperate counselling only for IIST in IIST home website

IIST - A good campus to live but with high restrictions.

NSP gives scholarship to sc and st category students and also financial aid to Gen EWS student (66% scholarship). A lot of other scholarship like relince digital and ongc scholarship the amount of scholarship is different for different categories and also depend on the provider.

Is choosing avionics over other worth it?

The course fee is fixed and it takes approximately 8-10 lakhs in total for four years for a general category student, and it takes very much less if you have some kind of reservation. And they offer some scholarships but the income should be less.

IIST Dream college For Space Enthusiasts

Admission fee is 500. Development fee is 1000. Institute Security deposit is 5000. Tution Fee is 125000. Medical and insaurance fee is 4000. Library fee is 2000. Examination fee is 1000. Registration fee is 200. Hostel establishment charge is 10000. Hostel Rent is 6000. Electricity and water charge is 750. I don't have any scholarship and I have to pay 76700 per semester, doesn't include the mess fee. If you are OBC and annual income is less than 5 LPA the the tution fee will be 20850. If you are SC/ST and annual income is less than 8 LPA then the tution fee is Nil. If you are OBC and annual income is less than 1 LPA then also tution fee is Nil. Other fees are as usual for everyone. If you are scoring more than 9 gpa and you does not have any scholarship then you will get a scholarship of 50% on tution fee.

IIST review

Total fee for the complete course is nearly 8 lakhs. It may increase in future. If you secured rank under 1000 in Jee adv, you get full fee waiver. Scholarship For SC, ST is also available according to annual income.

Total Fees is 162000 I will get 84000 tution fee waiver according to the income based scholarship. Scholarship Scheme If Income is less than 1 lakh complete tution fee refund. If Income between 1-5 lakh 66% tution fee refund. National Scholarship portal scholarship are also available on top of these scholarships.

Per semester we have tution fees 62500 and in one year we have 2 semesters and we have hostel compalsary on an average there is 200000 per year rupees you have to pay including tution fees,hostel fees and mess fees.
