The college has best academics and infrastructure. One needs to have passion and dedication to work for the country to get into ISRO, with which IIST is collaborated. IIST provides an easy platform to get into such a magnificent and successful industry of the country where highly educated officials and scientists will be working. It is a wonderful opportunity and blessing to the students of IIST, for getting into ISRO and serving the nation.

Remarks:
Every undergraduate student gets Rs. 3000 credited for the books bought every semester under the scheme of "book grant".
And library provides textbooks to all students at the start of the sem and collects them back after end sem exams.
This is the only space university in entire India. So you will leave the campus with a unique degree and get a tag of scientist if you get placed in ISRO even if you work very less there.

Through GATE 2016, Got 567 score. I opted it because it is only the first institute in Asia which is totally focussed towards producing Scientists & Researchers.

Remarks:
Only problem is that the administration has too much power. While this is helpful in maintaining a high level of academic environment but some of its decisions are highly authoritative and unidirectional with no involvement of students in the discussions. They listen to our needs and some of them are implemented. But as i said some of the decisions are highly illogical and curb social freedom.

College management is very strict about the rules and they do take action in case they are not followed. Management is very good, and so is security. The only con of the college is it's location, it is really far away from the city and there are no eateries nearby. If you have to get anything, you have to travel all the way to the city.

College is good, infact really good academically speaking and if you plan to work your head off, study, understand, innovate and work on some really interesting projects, this is the place for you. Negatives would be the lack of facilities for sports. However that appears to be getting better with a well functioning sports committee.
