IIST Trivandrum Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The college has a good placement record. It's also worth noting that the majority of this college's placements go to ISRO. However, corporations such as Mercedes Benz, Viz Experts, Mahindra & Mahindra come to university to recruit. Our batch's highest package was 14 LPA, while the lowest was 8 LPA. The placement committee is really dedicated and helpful.

The placement record of the college is good. It is also the fact that most of the placement from this college is to ISRO. But companies like Mercedes Benz, Viz Experts, Mahindra and Mahindra visit the campus for placement derive. The highest package for our batch was 12.50 LPA and the lowest was 7.80 LPA. The placement committee is very hardworking and supportive.

As if avionics is in great demand in many IT and CS sectors and I have a huge interest for avionics that's why I opted for this branch. Taking about the faculty in IIST I think the the people in IIST are one of the best educator's I have ever. They are well qualified and have an amazing experience in their own field. Most of the faculties have the work experience in Indian space research organisation that's what make it really worth to study and research under their guidance. Considering the qualification of the faculty many of them are PhD from IIT's and they have a teaching experience of about on an average more than 7 years. The student ratio in IIST is 22.3 i.e in one batch 134 boys and 6 girls Talking about the semester exams the questions in the exams are of a certain level and they require a good conceptual knowledge more than quantitative

After six semesters the students are eligible for the placement one most good thing is that students whose CGPA greater than 7.5 are eligible for the ISRO adsorption policy. Out of 150 students 110-120 students were placed in different ISRO Centres Other students were placed in different companies like Adode, Mahindra, Flipkart, Amazon etc . Above 95% of students were placed in jobs. I want to work in ISRO.

It is a college under control of Indian Space Research Organization and the faculties of this college are highly experienced and qualified. The library and laboratories are great. Also there is opportunity for students to do internships at ISRO. After completing the course students get job opportunities in ISRO based on merit.The location of the college is also good, accessibility won't be a problem. Railway station and airport is available within 30 kms. The city is also easily accessible and would satisfy our needs. There are also a lot of greenery in the campus.

Lab facilities, infrastructure and faculty were my preferences for joining in IIST. Good things are you have freedom to do what ever you want. Bad things are very few management decisions, which students don't like them. Admission process is shortlisting through gate, fee payment for blocking the seat and document verification.

Space science is one of the major factor that drives me in this college. It is 1st space science college in Asia. Also, the atmosphere in kerela is quite good. The state and it's nature, people are also good. And one of the major thing is, It comes under Department of Space. It is associated with well known government organization of INDIA, ISRO. Here we can really make our dreams true and live with them who wants to be Scientist in his/her life then this is beautiful place to be there The main factor for me choosing this college that here we got great exposure in terms of Space oriented subject and technology which are latest in use, also we got opportunity to work with space agencies like ISRO, NRSC,PRL real time project for M. Tech and for B. tech they will be directly absorb by ISRO on the basis of there GPA, also location of campus is marvelous very natural friendly is make me to get their also many more.

Possibility of free education with stipend for books, top research facilities and scientist faculties. Newly developed students complex and best hostel and mess facilities amongst tier 1 government colleges

Provides Scholarship, Job Security, Hostel Security, Mess is very clean and food is amazing, Far from city so no disturbance, Lovely Climate, Want to have exposure to live on my own, and a healthy Competition.
