In 2014, the college admission process shifted from the UPSEAT Entrance Examination to the JEE(Main) and JEE(Advanced) exams, with admissions based on rank lists generated from these exams. The faculty at this institution are highly qualified, boasting PhDs from prestigious institutions like IISc and IITs, and some from international universities. Students with a GPA of 7.5 or higher in undergraduate or dual degree programs receive scholarships covering tuition, hostel, and mess fees for that semester.
Those below this GPA pay approximately Rs. 50,000 per semester. Students with a CGPA of 7.5 or higher are eligible for recruitment by ISRO/DoS as Scientist/Engineer 'SC.' The college requires a compulsory internship after the third year, which can be completed at ISRO/DoS centres or other institutions, supported by a stipend covering basic needs. Although there was a period without on-campus placements due to an economic downturn in the IT industry, all students were eventually placed satisfactorily.
Scholarships are available through the Department of Science for undergraduates and dual degree students, while postgraduate students receive a monthly stipend from the Ministry of Human Resource Development. Ph.D. students also receive stipends to support their research.
