- Placements, internships are the best of this college. But apart from that the fests are pretty good and the classrooms and hostels are the best among nits.
- Hostels are just too good like boys get single room right from their 2nd semester with balconies.
- The college atmosphere is calm and soothing.
Dislikes
- It's not a closed knit college so outsiders are allowed to pass through.
- Attendance is made hectic nowadays 75% compulsory.
- At times the college administration is pathetic.
Placement Experience:
The placements are the USP of nit jsr. In the 3rd year itself we are eligible for on campus internship opportunities. Being from the cse branch around 40-50 students of my class bagged internship offers from top MNCs in India and abroad like Google, atlassian, Microsoft etc. Companies that visit our college are like BNY mellon, Citi Bank, Google, atlassian, Microsoft, Cisco, cloudera, rubrik, fastenal, cultfit, ge healthcare, Airtel and many more. Highest package is 83lpa and average of cse is 27-28 lpa and all branches combined 15.98 lpa. Around 98% students get placed every year.

- Like placements,hostel and fully AC furnished vantilated classrooms
- It gives more opportunities in sports and in extra curricular activities
Dislikes
- It needs more development on infrastructure .
- Mess food quality is not up to the mark it should be improved

Placement Experience:
The placement in this college is comparable to many iits itself here 98.6 students placed in civil itself and from 4th year students eligible for campus placements and many companies visits from core and none core all example London stocks,L and T ,Tata etc.. and highest placement from Civil branch is 21 LPA and avarage is 9.5 LPA and nearly 99% students gets placed and I will continue jobs after placement .

- I like academic building which have centralised air conditioned.
- I also like faculties behavior and hostel facilities
Dislikes
- I dont like here any place for hangout on weekend.
- There is not canteen facilities in our college.
- Our college has not closed campus so we have outside people also visit our college
Placement Experience:
Placement scenario is very good of our college students got eligible for placement after 6th semester. Many companies got visited in our college like tata, ATLASIAN etc.. Highest package is 80 LPA and average is 10LPA.
Almost 95 percent students get placed.

- Things I like is placement. Good amount of core and non core companies vists our campus every students gets placed with decent package
- Nescafe , Indian snacks , canteen where we can chill after the classes
- Classrooms are ver big.we can use phones.proffesors don't notice much
Dislikes
- There is no particular site for placement so some what difficult to manage
- Much more grasses around.college land getting wasted. Instead they can construct good infrastructure
- Girls in time is 9 pm . And boys have no in time.
Placement Experience:
1. In 7 th semester students gets their placement.
Student who don't get placement even in 8 th semester the companies comes so there is no issue.
2.highest package is 83 lpa. Attalsian provides and average package is around 13 lpa.
3.100 percentage placements in our branch.
4. After degree many of them pursue higher studies in foreign

- The classroom is very good with a/c and projector.
- The campus is very green. The air is very pure.
Dislikes
- The hostel doesn't have wifi and no network connectivity.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The EEE course is very chill the professors are very lenient while some are very tough nut. The faculty is highly qualified they hold PHd from reputed institutes like IIT, NIT. I choose this course because of rank. The exams have moderate difficulty few days study can get you 8+ cg.

- Hostels at NIT Jamshedpur is awesome. Boys are given single rooms in mega hostels from 2nd year onwards.
- New Diamond Jubilee Lecture Hall Complex is very beautiful and have all the advanced technology installed for fruitful exchange of knowledge
- Clubs and societies at NIT Jamshedpur plays important role in overall development of a person
Dislikes
- Academic curriculum sometimes becomes very hectic especially during exam times
- Mess food is not great. It is just enough for survival
- Professors are excellent and teach very good but some of them just read PDF insted of teaching
Course Curriculum Overview:
Electrical engineering at NIT Jamshedpur is one of the best branch you can get at NIT Jamshedpur. In a semester one mid term and one end term examination are taken. Additionally viva, projects and practicals also occur.

Placement Experience:
Campus placements occur in 4th year and summer internships are offered in 3rd year. College has a consistent record of 99+% placement.
In mechanical department, the placement record in 2022-23 session was 100%. In the ongoing year even though recession is present, the 75% students have already been placed by December. More to come. Many 3rd years have been offered summer internships as well.

- The faculty are regular and disciplined regarding course structure and classes. Regular classes are held with a pre defined time table and labs are organized for physical demonstration and experiment thereby promoting practical oriented learning
- Clubs and Teams are quite active giving an exposure for overall development of students
- Campus placement is commendable as companies like Microsoft and Google also offers students
Dislikes
- Campus Safety is a major concern as there are no concrete boundaries around
- Mess food is an issue as the quality and quantity both are not as mych as it needs to be
- For girls, there are in time restrictions in the hostel owing to which they are facing academic disadvantage
Placement Experience:
Companies start visiting the campus to provide a 2 month summer internship opportunity, 5th semester onwards. Final campus placement begins from 7th semester. Our branch has a record of 100 percent placement among all eligible students.

- I like the competitive environment of our college be it sport or technical competition.
- Our college is located in Jamshedpur which in itself is a manufacturing hub so industrial visits are easily available.
- College has amazing academic building which is fully ac that makes study so comfortable and tireless.
Dislikes
- Campus is so big but not properly utilised there are many waste lands full of bushes.
- Campus is not closed from one side as there is dispute between college and local residents
- Some professor are very mean they intentionally try to harass students
Placement Experience:
Our college is known for placement. According to placement our college must be in top 5 nits. In mechanical branch there is 100 percent placement with an average CTC of 10.5 lpa.
In computer science average placement is 27 lpa.
Approximately every branch have placement above 95%.
In mechanical highest CTC offered was 23 lakhs for a sde role and also many students got the job as analyst job. Others went for core sector of mechanical
Major core canpanies are:-
BCCL
HPCL
TATA STEEL
EXXON MOBIL
Etc
Average package offered by core companies is around 8 lpa.
My plans is to give ese examination and gate examination as I am interested in government sector jobs.

- Lack of sports ground. Although College have few grounds

Placement takes place in fourth year of the college and internship in 3 Rd year.. one can become elegible at 7th semester of the college for placement. Many company like tata byjus aakash Google visilts nit jamshedpur . I have plan for getting a college placement

My friend recently graduated from NIT Jamshedpur. Here is her review.
Location: The campus is located in Adityapur, surrounded by industries. It is a bit away from Tatanagar Railway Station. Since Jamshedpur doesn’t have an airport the best way to reach the campus is from Ranchi via NH-33.
Infrastructure-wise: Both the hostels and the computer centers are revamped. The main buildings of the campus are still under further development but are expected to be in maintenance soon. However, the mega hostels, known as J & K, are an enhanced sight of the campus.
Academics
- The quality of professors or the methodology of their teaching is quite not up to the mark. Few professors of the institute somewhat still follow the old pedagogy and are sometimes not cooperative. On contrary, the newly appointed Ad-hoc faculties are supportive and are willing to guide students.
- Students of the institute perform well in competitive examinations. Many made it to IITs, IIMs, or various international institutes as well.
- The Central Workshop and laboratories, substantially Fluid, Thermodynamics, and Metallurgical are not quite well maintained.
Placement Reports:
A few major recruiting companies are (in respective branches) as follows.
- CSE: Amazon, Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle
- ECE: Amazon, Oracle Finance, Wipro, Mahindra Comviva

FIITJEE, Rao Academy, Career Point, etc, are examples of coaching institutes that recruited as well. The highest package received was 30 LPA while the average salary was 12 LPA
Extracurricular Activities:
The TechnoManagement fest, Ojass, and Cultural fest, Culfest are the major events of the institute. There are several automobile teams as well, like Team Phoenix, the aircraft team; Team Rays, the hybrid car team and Team Daksh, Off road car team.
