Likes

The classroom is very good with a/c and projector.
The campus is very green. The air is very pure.

Dislikes

The hostel doesn't have wifi and no network connectivity.

Course Curriculum Overview

The EEE course is very chill the professors are very lenient while some are very tough nut. The faculty is highly qualified they hold PHd from reputed institutes like IIT, NIT. I choose this course because of rank. The exams have moderate difficulty few days study can get you 8+ cg.

Class Size: 114Course Fees: INR 62500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is but expensive cpared to exam we have to crack. It is the toughest exam of India. The scholarship process is very easy just upload the documents and then you can have the fee waiver. Currently I'm in 1st year so cannot say about placement and internship opportunities.

Campus Life

The campus life is not great. The college is situated far way from main city so we cannot order food after 11pm. The social life is very conservative. The festa are of average level. The classroom is very great. The librarian is very strict. Books are available. Sports is not at very good level. There are various clubs like for painting, dancing, modelling, quizzing etc.

Admission

The eligibility of course is clearing Jee main. The application form can be found in NTA website one has to give JEE MAIN for admission in the Institute. Improvement can be done in process of counseling it is very tedious and lengthy process.

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

According to my perspective or point of view students initiate preparing for placement cells in 3rd year ( 5th semester). The highest package of our college is 14 LPA And average package is 3.4 LPA. Approx 72 %students got placed in different different companies like tcs, wipro, accenture etc.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
