The Jean College of Udhampur.

Likes

Some faculty are good but some are very bad . Confrences are arranged regularly. some classes are digitised.
The social life is good at college. Boys and Girls have good interactions in it.
College non teaching staff is good and they have good interactions with us.

Dislikes

Improvement in Sports and NCC selection . Sports are very inactive in college .
There is no Placement in College . NO Internships are provided
Infrastructure is not good at all . NO digital boards to all classes and no playground seperately.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Overall 50% is relevant like Psychology if fully relevant subject because of psychology i choose this course. In real world applications curruculum prepares me for further job oppurtunities and further studies. Teaching method is average and not modern teaching method.timings of exams are good .

I liked the location of college as it is nearby my home

B.com course is good but i wanted to take admission in bba honors, unfortunately i didn't get admission in bba. No worry for not getting admission in bba as i understand that b.com is also a good course

Life at GCW gandhinagar jammu

Likes: Life at college is so good as we get to experience a lot of things.My college life was ful of memories and experiences as the whoole infrastructure was good.The interior and exterior of my college that is GCW Gandhi Nagar Jammu was so pretty.
I personally loved each and everything about my college.The classrooms were well ventilised.We had separate classrooms for eacg courses provided.
We had so much groounds available in the college , parks with full greenery and beautiful flowers that increased the beauty of the college.We gad a sperate auditorium for the cultural activities.Overall the whole college is good.

Dislikes

There are not much things that i disliked about my college because it was all that student needed.
But yes there were no concerts held as we see nowadays there are lot of concerts held at colleges.
There were no nightshows organised as every college had.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The aspects of the curriculum because of which i chose this course was that I was interested in english literature.I love poetry because of which i chose this and my dream is to crack upsc so i chose Bachelor Of Arts as my course as it would help me in achieving my dream. No improvements for teaching methods needed as it was best. But yes there was some difficulty in managing time during exams that should be viewed.

"Govt. Degree College for Boys Anantnag" A critical appreciation.

I am pursuing B.Sc. chemistry and the lab facilities are good. Other departments are very well organised too.
Considering my social life in college. It's really good. The people are ready to talk and help anytime. The faculty is not too good though and needs improvement.
The syllabus is formulated by kashmir university and has a good scope but the teaching here is not upto the mark. The teachers waste student's time more often.

Dislikes

The teaching, the teachers, the discipline and washroom facilites. Disorder and inadequate organisation.
No gym, not a good canteen and playground needs work too.
The college gate keepers are extremely rude.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Umm the syllabus is good not too comprehensive which is good too. We don't want to suffer during our exams due to lack of adequate knowledge. The teachers don't complete the syllabus more often and we have to face the consequences. The frequency of exams is twice a year, actually thrice considering the internals as well. The difficulty level is average. The teachers could spend more time on studying and help the students that's how improvement can be achieved.

there is separate buildings for the courses like bcom students have their own department and bba has their own and bca also.
there is good clean environment around students seems to enjoy the place .
there is cafeteria also. sports mathches between colleges

Dislikes

electricity shortage , in summer there so much electricity cut off.
departments arent that big so there isnt lot to see
picnics are so rare to happen thats the worse part

i like computer and its technilogy so thats why i chose this course . i wanted to learn computer programing so thats why bca was perfect course for me . we are not getting enogh time to master one programming language i think teacher should use live projectors use some website . and use of ai for better teaching with programming language as its more easier for students to understand

Amazing college.

Likes

I like the botanical gardens in the college.
I like the playground in the college for sports.
I like the library of the college very much.

Dislikes

I don't like some rooms in the college .
I do not like some things in the canteen.

Course curriculum has a very effective influence on me as the subjects in that course all are of my interest that I love to study. Teaching methods for the course are very useful and effective. Exams are of medium level .

Sharing what I experienced

Likes

The Infrastructure is nice , is quite open and large . The campus has grounds for every sport
The college has workshops for every department such as carpentry, lathe , metal cutting etc. also has a refrigeration and boiler system for the workshop practices.
Well maintained labs for each department such as TOM lab, fluid mechanics lab , SOM lab , Computer lab , electronics lab , CAd lab

Dislikes

Canteen area is quite small for the students. The seating arrangement is not sufficient during break time .
Sometimes the electricity is not working and the arrangement of generators is not very efficient when a breakdown happens

In 6th semester, the students get the exposure about placements . Earlier, they had done internships in their respective departments. The college placements are not upto the mark and requirements but the companies do come for the campus placement .such as ozisoft company form mohali came and selected few students from each department for the placement

A genuine review of my University.

Likes

The campus is huge with separate buildings for each department.The campus maintains its environment with greenery and cleanliness. It has every facilities for students such as cafeteria with affordable food, fresh and healthy juice.
The faculty members are very professional and have great expertise in their field. They challenge students to excel in their work and make learning more inclusive. Every session becomes very interactive with guest lectures and various practicals and.
The overall course curriculum is robust having every facilities in the campus. The laboratory is well equipped. Each department has its own library besides a huge campus library.

Dislikes

In case of infrastructure, only the washrooms are not well maintained. The ramp facilities for the disabled students are also lacking causing inconvenience for the disabled student.
Other than teaching in the classroom, being a science student having an educational trip would be better for effective learning. A field research would be helpful.
The quality of social interaction is average. Having our own separate departments and studying whole day in the same restrict us from interacting with the students of other departments. There is a lack of public lectures on the common hall.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course does prepares well and the zoology is an interesting subject to choose. The course is relevant if you are going further for research or pHD, otherwise in real world, doing such course isn't much help in getting jobs and is very rare in India getting jobs related to this field. The frequency and timing of exams is fine. Having two semester exams in a year is fine. The duration of exam of 2 or 3 hours is absolutely fine. The level of exam is average.

The staff was extraordinary. They completed our syllabus within the time.
Fees which we paid was affordable and worth.
The entire college was neet and clean ie classrooms ground floor etc.

Dislikes

There were too much holidays to be observed.
College was enough for from our village .
There was too much noise due to college near to the market.

Since my childhood science was my favourite subject. So after my 10th board exams I preferred science stream. And I got great percentage in medical. So I preferred BSCG after my 12 to remain in touch with science.
