Miet Pros and cons

Likes

Teachers are very nice and helpful always ready to help
There is good space of parking you can park your vehicle

Dislikes

There is much strictness in the college.
Attendance is much compalsary if you don't maintain 75% attendence you will not able to give exam

Placement Experience:

You get placement in miet. Don't expect high package in jammu Companys like hdfc icici asian paints aakash institute, bajaj finance, Reliance, TCL comes in college. But you need good marks to be eligible for college placement minimum 75% required but I am not sure

I think the library of the college is very good we can study with peace
the classrooms of the college is very good with comfortable seats and chairs
Also the canteen of the college is well hygienic

Dislikes

The botanical garden of the college is just useless
The toilets of the college is in very bad condition
The distrubanceof vicheles due to police area around college

The curriculum activities in our college is best thing for me because i love playing games and take part in verious functions for dancing Playing extra also the sports teacher of our college is such a nice person he gaves everyone chance to take part in their favourite games so i can say our college is best for curriculum activities

The frequency and timing according to level of paper pattern is less bcoz we gave to write alot and timing we get is less so from that i have give no marks and talk about cirriculum preparing we didnot get any benefit.

ASCOMS - Boon or Bane ?

Likes

The teaching style and the organization of the first year academics.
The PG selection ratio in the college is high above the other colleges of the state .
The affordability over other private colleges. Being a private college the fee charges are still less than expected

Dislikes

The infrastructure is not upto the mark .
The college does discriminate on basis of your identity.
Some kind of nepotism also exists and that messes up the environment

Course Curriculum Overview:

Yes it's pretty relevant they follow the new CBME issued by the NMC and it's in line with the PG syallabus and entrance exams as well . What they could change though is the teaching methods and how to be more interactive with students

The thing I like is that the Of the college is also very good and they also a good facilities as environment is the very important factor for any college for the students. The teachers are also very great And try their best to understand
The teachers are very Good topics and we easily understand them

Dislikes

Nothing, I don’t like about this college. Is that the Of parking
However, the guards are also very strict and Can be friendly
The colleges has no hostel Facilities and the Wi-Fi is also very slow

Course Curriculum Overview:

Plenty of gloves are available ranging from robotics to sports dance to entrepreneurship. There are also libraries facilities with good range of knowledge accessible in both online and off-line mode. This also provides some internship programmes to gain more knowledge.

Likes

Faculty is very helpful and knowledgeable
Campus maintenance is very well with greenary all around
Technical and other labs are very well equipped

Dislikes

There is no big canteen inside the campus
Stray dogs keep roaming around the campus
College is very far from the city. It takes approx 45 mins to reach

Placement Experience:

Students from the uth and 8th semester are eligible for placements. Companies offering packages about 10 lakhs come in the college. Out of 10 ,at most 5 students get the placement easily from the campus.

MIET is a good college

Likes

This college is autonomous which means it doesn't depend on central university
Most liked thing is they provide all kinds of sports
Also you can take any book from library if the book is not related to your course you can take it from library.

As I take ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND MACHINE LEARNING I started by learning c programming language. Now it is going smooth to learn learn artificial intelligence and machine learning and python. If you really want to learn artificial intelligence and machine learning you just need to focus on it

All about GCET Jammu

Likes

I like the way of teaching by the teachers. The teachers are very friendly with students.
The college also give students chance to take part in many activities like sports, coding, hackathon, logo making, etc.
The college has very low fees for academics and hostel fee as compare to other colleges.

Dislikes

The college is far away from jammu city. Its about 18km from Jewel Chowk Jammu
There is not any transport facility for students given by the college students together book a bus for transportation and pay about ₹17000 monthly.
There is not any market near the college. Only few shops are there outside the college.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements. Many companies like Tata visited and offers made by them is about 4lakh or more than it sometimes. The highest and package is about 8lakh rupees. Only 10 percent students get placements. My plan after graduation is to make my own business or work as a mechanical engineer. Many students choose to study GATE or apply for govt jobs.

Why you should get admission in jammu university

Likes

The teacher's are supporting and are very knowledgeable
Sports facilities are good and they provide all the equipments for sports
During winter the temperature remain stable mostly

Dislikes

During summer the heat is so intolerable
Heat waves are very strong during summer

I have choosed this course because of my interest in history and English language. I am Fully satisfied with the preparation for my further studies. I have improved my history knowledge here and got rid of stage fear through opportunities i got here Exams are conducted aftr every 6 month and their difficultly is moderate but we do have class tests conducted by facilities

I like the college ground it is good enough to play cricket and other games
College environment is good there is plantation all around in campus which is a good environment
College location is far from the main city Jammu.

Dislikes

I don't like college building and campus
Hostel is outside college which is not good for the students.
Strength is too low these years , admissions in college ilare decreasing year after year

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course I preferred is BE (civil). But I was very disappointed because the syllabus is very outdated and is of no use in this modern world. Where everything can be done with softwares and still they are focussed on calculations.
