Institute for Excellence in Higher Education (IEHE), Bhopal was established in 1995. The Institute is an autonomous Institution in academic, administrative & financial matters and is managed by The Institute for Excellence in Higher Education Society Bhopal. The institute is accredited by NAAC.
The institute offers three years undergraduate courses in Bachelor of Arts, Science, Commerce, and Management streams with various specializations and offers two years of postgraduate courses in Arts, Science, Commerce, and Management with various specializations Barkatullah University, Bhopal.
It also offers Diploma, Postgraduate Diploma and Certificates courses. University examinations of different courses, examinations conducted by Barkatullah University, Bhopal and various other examinations are held in the college premises.
The admission process of the institute is absolutely fair and transparent based on the guidelines provided by the Department of Higher Education, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh.
All admission procedures are done strictly on the basis of the merit list/marks obtained in 10+2 examinations. Seats are reserved for ST, SC, OBC and physically handicapped candidates in all courses. Top courses are the B.Sc. as well as BA courses that it offers in UG courses. 6 months Certificate courses in arts, science and engineering are also provided.
The Institute is housed in a sprawling 40 acre area campus with state-of-the-art infrastructure facilities like well-equipped laboratories, digitized library, ICT enabled services etc.

All admissions are based on the Merit list rankings. The merit list will be published on the college website.
Candidates need to have a minimum of 60% aggregate in 10+2 for getting entry in UG courses.
Candidates need to have a minimum of 50% aggregate in graduation for getting entry in PG courses.
Note: 5% relaxation is given to reserve seat candidates.

IEHE Bhopal Placements
The institute has its own placement wing which looks upon the needs of the graduates as well as the companies. The placement cell has its own aim and objectives and it works round the year. This institute also offers internship models for students. Special alumni team members also help the students with job references in their companies.

Institutional Scholarships & Awards
- Merit-cum-means Scholarships: Rs.5,000 to students whose parent's income is less than Rs.1,50,000 (20 applicants in order of Merit)
- Economic Assistance: Rs.5,000 to students whose parent's income is less than Rs.1,50,000 (20 applicants in order of Merit).
- Merit Award: This award can be given with any other scholarship Rs 2,000 for honours subject wise faculty toppers of Undergraduate, Postgraduate & M.Phil. Students.

Government Scholarships/Yojna
- Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidhyarthi Yojna (MMVY) – Scholarship scheme for meritorious students of 12th class of Madhya Pradesh.
- Gaon ki Beti Yojna (Rs. 5,000/-per annum per girl applicant) only for those students who have passed Higher Secondary examination from the school situated in rural area / Gram Panchayat / Janpad Panchayat.
- Pratibha Kiran Yojna (Rs. 5,000/-per annum per girl applicant) : Eligibility –1st division in class 12th, BPL category, school from urban area it will be given for three years to eligible students who apply in 1st year of course.
- Vikramaditya Yojna (Rs. 2,500/- per annum per boy applicant of General Category): Eligibility –1st division in class 12th, annual income of parent less than Rs. 56,000/-
- Nishakt Jan Scholarship funded by Samajik Nyay Vibhag (Rs 200/-per month per boy/girl applicant admitted to computer / Management Courses for M.P. domicile and parent income up to Rs.1 lakh.
- Awasiya Yojna funded by Adim Jati Kalyan Vibhag (Rs 2000/-per month for SC/ST students)
- Awagaman Yojana Bhatta– Conveyance Allowance (Rs 5/-per day per girl student –Rs. 500/-for 100 days and Rs 1000/-for 200 days only in one session) can be given with any type of scholarship/award.

IEHE contains all the major facilities. Facilities available are Hostel, Gym, Library, Cafeteria, Auditorium, Seminar Halls, Health care center, Laboratories, Computer lab, Sports, Guest Room, NSS unit, Transportation, CCTV Surveillance, etc.
- Library- Well stocked libraries with modernized equipment. National and International Journals are also available.
- Hostel- the Institute offers Hostel facilities to its out stations students. There is a 107-seater girl’s hostel in the Institute Campus itself. Superintendent for the Hostel. Hostels are completely secured for girls. Hostels are managed by the resident student under the governance of the Superintendent.
- Computer Lab-The Institute has formed a computer center to train interested students. The center was opened in 1995 with due permission from the University. It offers courses that would prove beneficial to students in their careers.
- The Institute has its own Anti-Ragging cell and strict laws have been made for the students.
- The College has an active NSS Unit which helps in providing seminars and camps.
