Our campus is very big ,250 acres that the most beautiful thing and our campus is so green that's why I like this campus.
In my campus all professor are so well experienced and most of them are friendly in nature that's the amazing thing for me.
I like the cultural event and technical event minded the cultural event sparsh was very good in my college.

Dislikes

In our civil department the infrastructure is very old that's the thing I dislike more and the civil department related lab are not so clean .
Our college is situated in main city surat and out of campus area is so expensive for me that I dislike more.
Since 50 percent of the students are from Gujarat that's why I face challanges to talk with him but I learn soon gujrati.

Placement Experience:

In my college the placement no is good it's depends on the branch in my college the cs placement is very good last year a cs department guy have got 52 lakh pakage ,and in my department civil the avg package is around 7 lakhs so it is difficult to me grab the better package but I am sure that I grab any package from this college.

College great for exploration and great career opportunities

I like the college infrastructure,The fest and the city of Surat is fastest developing city.

Dislikes

I don't like the faculty including phd and assistant professor.The don't manage and cope with students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose chemical engineering as I thought it will be of my field.I It offers less competition compared to other engineering branches.The exams takes over an interval of 2 months and the exams are tough as professor asks tough questions compared to what they taught in class.

Great college for exposure and exploring yourself

Likes

1:6 is the girls is to boy ratio in the college ..
Location of college is very good in the centre of posh area
College provides great exposure and freedom to its students.

Dislikes

Infrastructure of college can be improved
Sports facilities and equipments can be improved
Mess facilities can also be improved in hostel.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is inclined towards VLSI technology and semiconductor. Curriculum is updated and inclined towards industry and real world applications. Two paper mid and semester examination are there . Difficulty level is medium.

Great college for exploring and learning.

Likes

The location of the campus is very amazing and very beautiful as it is right in the center of city's posh area.
We have various beaches nearby which makes this college location amazing.
Also we can find various student chapter and clubs inside college which helps us in our interested extracurricular activities

Dislikes

The infrastructure is not that great as it is developing.
The girl isto boy ratio is around 1:5 which is very low
The canteen food and the hostel food is not that great but yes its average.

Placements of the college is good and students can start their placement drive from 7th semister and can sit in on-campus placement. The average package is around 11lpa and for cse its around 15lpa and the highest package was 60lpa. Total 75% students gets placed in various big and multinational companies.

Beautiful campus and great exposure.

Likes

The location of the college is mind blowing as it is in the main city and the posh area of surat.
There is very much freedom to do anything and to go anywhere in the college or outside.
There are various events and contest happening and will always feel engaged.

Dislikes

The infrastructure structure of the campus needs improvement.
The faculties are not that good but yes it's upon you how you study.
Girls to boys ratio is approx 1:5 or more sometimes.

From 7th semister students become eligible to sit in the placement of the college. The college providess oncampus placements and has various connections and ties with various companies like Google amazon and many other. Last year total of 75% students got placed with average of 11lpa package and highest package was 60 lpa. Also this college helps you get internship opportunities right from 2nd year which is very good.

SVNIT a life in its own

Likes

The learning enviornment is encouraging and promotes growth
Faculties here are top notch and engage well with students
Sports and cultural activities are encouraged

Dislikes

Poor infrastructure facilties and old bulidings
Food quality in hostels and college canteen is not up to the mark
Network avaibility has always been an issue in this college

Food Services are good compared to other colleges.

Dislikes

Infrastructure is poor and few hostels are very old.

Placement Experience:

Campus Placements starts from Sem 7th( Start of 4th Year). Companies such L& T, Amazon, Dassault Systems offer their packages. Highest package for 2024-25 is 52 lacs. Percentage of students places is 58% as of February 2025 and number is increasing.

Likes

Infrastructure is quite good and neat with sanitary provisions and enough number of classrooms and labs
Courses which are added and the way of teaching and the teaching plan os impressive
Every student can enjoy their btech life bcoz of enough fests and clubs which take the inner talent of every student

Dislikes

The boys and girls ratio is too bad...(3:1). It can effect the involvement in the labs if girls cannot take first move to perform any kind of experiments in lab
Some teachers tale extra classes in which they don't even understand the pain of student
Placement percentage is quite low around 60%....tough competition

Placement Experience:

In yhe 7th sem students are eligilbe for campus placements So many companies visit like amazon,google,wipro,... Percentage pf students getting placements is 60% After getting degre I am gonna do MTech

The campus is covered in a wide area under the lap of nature
The sports club and other clubs are pretty active
Constantly renovating there infrastructure

Dislikes

I am day scholars and we need to park our activa at the gate and walk to our class
Canteen service need to be improved as there are very limited number of chairs
Long college hours like we are studying for more than 4 hours without a break

Placement Experience:

Mostly students from 4 year start applying for a placement.there many high valued company coming to my campus for placement like L&T,Tata motor,Wipro,NHPC,MG, etc.highest placement offered for a mechanical engineering is 25 lakh and average is 15 lakh . More over 50% of the students are placed

MY EXPERIENCE AT SVNIT

Likes

The girls and boys ratio in SVNIT is 1:4 and it's quite good
Different Fests, Festival Celebration and Events happen and it's fun to witness
All the faculties are good and well experienced in teaching

Dislikes

Some buildings are under construction but in few months it's construction will be completed
75% attendance is compulsory otherwise one grade will be reduced if attendance is less than 60% you will be fail in that particular subject

Placement Experience:

IT PROVIDES GOOD PLACEMENT The highest package is 55 lpa (CSE) AVERAGE PACKAGE is 10 lpa(Overall) There is atleast 70% of placement in all branches Companies like Google,Amazon, Uber , Reliance, BPCL,etc. come for recruitment (Mock interview take place for preparation of interviews) PSU also come for recruitment. My plan is to secure good rank in GATE and then complete masters and secure job in PSU.

My review of SVNIT is a mixed one. It is a good choice in almost every aspect other than sports.

For sports enthusiasts, SVNIT is not the right choice. The condition of sports facilities at our college is not good. The sports grounds are not in a good shape. The cricket/football ground becomes a grassland from July to December.

The indoor badminton courts, which are two in number, are immensely insufficient to cater to around 4000 students. Each one has to wait a long time for their turn, and is given around 10 minutes to play the sport. Such a huge number of students can not access the badminton courts for sufficient durations. MMNCT is the best sports event of the year. It is an inter-year cricket tournament that takes place at night. The gym is well designed and has all the modern equipment.

Many classes are boring. But a lot of the professors, especially in the Civil department, teach really well. The marking system is very transparent, and after 15-30 days post the exams, answer sheets are made available for students to have a look. The classrooms are also very school-like in appearance. The rules are lenient, and most teachers are satisfied with a 60% student attendance.

The location is quite good, and malls, theaters, etc. are easily accessible. The campus is located in a posh area of Surat. Places like Mumbai, Daman, etc. are easily accessible for getaways. The placements are top notch, the clubs are plenty and quite decent. The mess food is quite good as well.

Unless you are very serious about getting the best sports facilities, SVNIT is a good college. But for sports facilities, I would recommend you try for MNIT Jaipur.
