What is the scholarship at SVNIT?

SVNIT offers many scholarships to deserving students. Students get scholarships for institute fees and hostel fees as well. For B.Tech students under 1 lakh, family income gets a tuition fee waiver. The alumni association also offers a few scholarships to students. There are provisions for mess fee refund as well.

Fees and Financial Aid:

Mainly depend upon your category if you belong to sc,st then full fees will be waived out and for other depend on family income if <5 and >=1 then 2/3 fee waiver and <1 then full fee waiver and rest all pay full fees.

Inside SVNIT: A students’s UNFILTERED view

Starting with the information, i am a chemical engineering student at sardar vallabhbhai National institute of technology Surat, Gujarat. Currently i am enrolled in first year and the fee structure for the freshers are 62500 RS per semester including tution fee and laboratory fees. Hostel fees are paid separately. I am unable to comment on hostel fees as i am a day scholar at SVNIT Surat.Every year , some selected students are given scholarships through NSP portal and there is scheme of Fee remission also where you get full remission for income less than 1lack and get 2/3 of the remission for abover upto 5 lack

Life in a college

The course fee per year is one lakh thirty five thousand rupees and for hostel and mess it wil bes almost 60000 per year and at the time of admission, extra admission fee, caution fee deposit fee of almost 20000 should pay. But there will be fee remission depending upon the category and annual income of parents . For sc and st students there will ne no tuition fee. If the annual income is less than 1 lakh then for them also there will be no tuition fee. Every year the fee structure is increasing. We can also apply to private and some government based scholarships

Admission through gate requires valid GATE SCORE to get the admission in the SVNIT. Scholarship provisions are there for the GATE fellowships, which is decided by the ministry of education, which is 12400 per month for now. Total fees for the course is 1.4Lakhs. But including hostel charges and all the extra miscellaneous charges together, it can go upto 2.5lakhs. All the fees can be covered by the stipend which is available for the research purpose.

The fees in this college is actually to high as compared to its course value the total cost of study is about one lack four thousand and there is no fee remission for MSC student and no scholarship is provided

Be aware of frauds created

Fee that I have initially known is 2.5 lac but tution fee rise to 400000, and total I have to spend 800000 for five year, students must note that there is no fee remission for Msc student low family income student.

Why SVNIT is Good Choice!

34250 + 38250 = 72500 rs per year (In current year fees has been increased for below batch) 125000 yearly for BTech Students Many scholarships are available, people may go through the website it covers SC, ST based scholarship, Female Student Scholarship, 1st Year student based, INSPIRE for student based on 12th marks

SVNIT STUDENT LIFE

Every year i pay 62000. There will be a addition fee of 75000 for lab and practical, 6000 college fund .I get a 62000 fee remission as may family income is below 1 lakh. My friend get fee remission of 31000 as his family income above 1 lakh.I don't recive any scholarship

SVNIT or NIT SURAT , Review as ECE student

As an SC student,there is no tution fees included ,which is around 67500 per semester to general category. But there are other fees like exam fees,stationary etc. That totals 7500 per semester. Hostel fees include 39000 per year mess fees advance , other fees like room rent and water and mintanance etc.is around 11000 per year

College life

The tution fee I paid for a year is 125000 along with that I paid 15000 extra fee as Library fee and also as medicine and others.the caution fee that is deposited one time is 5000 and the the institute development fee was 15000 and lab fee and buses fee were included in 15000 extra fee that we have to paid each year . tution fee is not paid by sc and st students they have to only pay the 15000 extra fee each year along with 15000 they have to pay hostel and mess fee if they stay in college for 4 years or may be 5 years if they are msc student.
