- Our college is the one of the top NIT and is very reputated
- Their is good research facilities and top notch sports facilities
- Professors are good and highly educated and some have 150 patent
Dislikes
- Infrastructure is old...instead their is renovation started
- It feels very humid here in summers instead of 6000 trees are here...
- Mess food is not very bad of first year.
Placement Experience:
The placements are pretty good the average package of CS is 15 lakhs per annum and in my department the highest is 21 lakh as per 2024 till now and average is somewhere around 10 to 11 lach per anum..

- the campus environment and greenery is something that i liked the most. the campus is huge and people travel toh places with the help of cycles
Dislikes
- activa and two wheeler vehicles are not allowed for students so students have to travel either by walking or through bicycle

this year placement are ranged in both core and non core branches
placements start from the beginning of the year only and before the end of the 4th year for students the companies stop coming

- The greenery and environment if college is too good .
- All the departments, labs, workshop and library have good Infrastructure except civil and mechanical department.
- Faculty is too supportive and helpful. Their method of teaching is also good .
Dislikes
- Intime of Institute. It's only 10.30 pm .
- Canteen infrastructure is not so good . But they are building a food court. And it will be ready in couple of month .
- Food of hostel mess is not so good . If roti is good then sabji is bad and if sabji is good then we don't like roti that day .

- I think in our college there might be a fee remission but here in our course not there

Overall placements in our college having highest package is 52lakhs yearly. Average might be 18 lakhs. But in my course the highest package is just 20 lakhs recently. Most of the students are going for research in other countries.

- The campus is very big it has a plenty of buildings divided for each department and there are several labs in with very advanced equipments.
- The faculties are really good very friendly sometimes and it will help you in every point of your college life. At least that's what I thought professors are really approachable here.
- The best food I would say is really good compared to the other college that's what I get to know from my friends.
Dislikes
- The sports facility in this college is really bad when compared to the other NITs or National institute.
- Even though this college is really old but sometimes it feels the management is not really good sometimes they clustered the events.
- There are several restrictions on the first year students that makes it very difficult to enjoy the campus life.

Students usually start there preparation for the placement in the third year and the company started to visit here in the fourth year the placements around goes for like 8 to 9 month.
In 2024 the highest package was like 52 lakh and average package was around 8 to 9 lakh. Talking about electrical department last year 102 hour of 120 students were placed in the college campus.
White variety of the companies visit here to recruit the students from the campus.

- Boys girl rasio is 1:3 it slightly good.

- College mentainance time period is very long.
- College is old than new building are made for us but it is delay
- Ranging is not available that is bad for students.

College mechanical engineering branch placements ratio is good around 75%. Last year Highest package of mechanical branch is 21 lakh and average is 9lakh and lowest 5lakh which is good. I thought about designing.

My review of SVNIT is a mixed one. It is a good choice in almost every aspect other than sports.
For sports enthusiasts, SVNIT is not the right choice. The condition of sports facilities at our college is not good. The sports grounds are not in a good shape. The cricket/football ground becomes a grassland from July to December.
The indoor badminton courts, which are two in number, are immensely insufficient to cater to around 4000 students. Each one has to wait a long time for their turn, and is given around 10 minutes to play the sport. Such a huge number of students can not access the badminton courts for sufficient durations. MMNCT is the best sports event of the year. It is an inter-year cricket tournament that takes place at night. The gym is well designed and has all the modern equipment.
Many classes are boring. But a lot of the professors, especially in the Civil department, teach really well. The marking system is very transparent, and after 15-30 days post the exams, answer sheets are made available for students to have a look. The classrooms are also very school-like in appearance. The rules are lenient, and most teachers are satisfied with a 60% student attendance.
The location is quite good, and malls, theaters, etc. are easily accessible. The campus is located in a posh area of Surat. Places like Mumbai, Daman, etc. are easily accessible for getaways. The placements are top notch, the clubs are plenty and quite decent. The mess food is quite good as well.
Unless you are very serious about getting the best sports facilities, SVNIT is a good college. But for sports facilities, I would recommend you try for MNIT Jaipur.
