NIT Surat M.Tech Working Professionals Admission 2026 Open

The Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (NIT) Surat has started the admission process for its M.Tech (Working Professionals) programme for the academic session 2026–27. Interested and eligible candidates can now apply in online mode. As per the official notification, the last date to submit the application form along with the required documents and fees is May 29, 2026, till 5:00 PM.

According to the schedule released by the NIT Surat, the application process commenced on February 17, 2026. The programme is specially designed for working professionals who want to upgrade their technical skills while continuing their jobs. The course will be conducted in hybrid mode, offering flexibility and convenience to candidates.

Candidates must have a B.E. or B.Tech. degree in the relevant branch with at least 55% aggregate marks. They should also have a minimum of 1 year of work experience after graduation. The final selection will be based on a written test, presentation, and interview.

After the application window closes, the respective academic departments will publish the list of eligible candidates on the institute’s official website on July 7, 2026. Shortlisted candidates will then have to report to their concerned departments on July 15, 2026, for document verification, interviews, or written tests as part of the selection process.

The final list of selected candidates will be released on July 20, 2026. Candidates who secure admission will have to complete the semester fee payment, registration, and reporting formalities between July 20 and July 27, 2026. The classes for the M.Tech (Working Professionals) programme are scheduled to begin on July 27, 2026.
