A candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks (or 45% marks for SC/ST/PWD), have studied Mathematics at the higher secondary level, and there is no age limit for eligibility.

IIFT Delhi Ph.D Eligibility Criteria
- A master’s degree program of 1 year after a 4-year bachelor’s degree, or a 2-year master’s degree program after a 3-year bachelor’s degree, is required. The master’s degree or an equivalent qualification must have at least 55% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade.
- A relaxation of 5% marks or an equivalent grade may be allowed for applicants from SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and other categories.
- For admission after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree, a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade is necessary. A 5% relaxation may be allowed for the reserved categories mentioned above.
- Completion of an M.Phil. program with at least 55% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade is also an option. A 5% relaxation may be allowed for applicants from the reserved categories.

The last date of applying for admission to IIFT Delhi was 15th March 2024. Besides this, the list of shortlisted candidates for second round of admission is not disclosed. The group discussion round will be conducted in April 2024. The programme will commence in the first week of July 2024.
