IIFT cut-offs are different for all the 3 campuses. The IIFT Delhi decides its own cut-off based on various factors like the number of students who appeared, passed, difficulty level, and the seats available. IIFT Delhi Admission for batch 2024 will be done on the basis of CAT exam.

Candidates clearing the minimum CAT cut-off will be called for the second round, which includes Writing Ability Test, Group discussion/ Extempore, and Personal Interview. The final selection of the candidates will be based on multiple factors and the CAT score will have a 45% weightage in the final selection.

IIFT Delhi canceled its IIFT Entrance Exam conducted by NTA every year and the shortlisting for admission is solely done through CAT 2023 entrance exam. The following is the CAT cut-off:

IIFT:- THE MOST UNDERRATED BSCHOOL IN THE COUNTRY

Likes

The thing that i absolutely love about this college is the faculty and the professors which teach us.
The second thing is the infrastructure , which is top notch and also its AACSB accredited which is why they have to maintain high standards
The third thing is the batch demographics and peers which is absolutely necessary while you are doing an mba

Dislikes

The campus is relatively small very compact as compared to other premier institutions
The hostels are also old and the infrastructure of hostels is poor
The admin is slow and sometimes very annoying and ignorant towards students

I chose iift because of the following reasons 1. It's one of the oldest Bschools in the country which makes it having one of the strongest alumni bases. 2. The location of the college is actually great , surrounded by Sanjayvan and also in the heart of delhi. 3.It was very near to my home to commute was very easy 4.The fees is a bit less as compared to top IIM's. 5. Placements are at par with some of the old IIM's. 6. The roles for finance and are at par with IIM Calcutta. I applied to mdi, wasn't able to make it there because this year they had some mishap in the admission process in which they gave admission to more number of students than the number of seats available. Admission criteria of IIFT is through CAT only and cut-off is around 98 percentile

The fact that the college is associated with ministry of commerce and students get the chance to intern at the institute. This is one of the only colleges which provide opportunity to work at government think thanks and government associated ministry
College has professors who has pursued high degree from known institutes
College infrastructure is extremely nice and library and IT department offers a lot of valuable stuff

Dislikes

Only 2 courses are there, hence campus life is minimised
Fee is high, compared to many other government colleges

Admission:

I applied for Delhi School of Economics, IIT Madras, Gokhale Institute of Politicial Economics. I chose IIFT over all of them majorly because of the practical knowledge that it provides and the fact that it is so closely associated with ministry of commerce. I was selected in all colleges I applied including GIPE, IIT Madras, DSE, IPU, APU, JMI etc. the admission process for IIFT D involves an entrance exam and a interview round

The Admission process consists of 2 steps. First you have to give the IIFT exam. This year the IIFT exam is cancelled so they will consider CAT scores for admission. After the CAT results, the shortlist for interview process will be out. After the Interview and extempore process, admission will be given by composite score.

A Glimpse into Life at IIFT

Likes

The placement opportunity that is provided by the IIFT is very good.
The placement committe of the college is also very good and collaborative in comparison to the other colleges.
The college offers MBA in International Business which is its specialisation hence it has very good faculties in this domain.

Dislikes

The campus of the college is very small and it doesn't have any proper ground hence there are limited opportunity for sports.
The college has only 2 hostels hence the juniors has to live outside the campus

Admission:

In December 2022 I took the entrance exam of IIFT (now they take admission based on the CAT exam). The candidates were shortlisted for PI and extempore based on various factors like IIFT score, 10th & 12th Percentage and diversity factors. Hence, the cut-off varied for different candidates. After the shortlisting the next stage involved PI and extempore, in extempore we had to speak for 2 minutes on the given topic. Based on the aggregate scores of the Exam, PI and extempore final admission lists were released. The eligibility of the course includes that the candidate should have a bachelor's degree in any field. Now IIFT takes admission through CAT exams hence students have to apply separately for the college through IIFT's official website after applying for CAT. Details regarding the reservations can be found through notifications. Additionally, for improvement in the admission process, I can suggest that the process of IIFT starts and ends very late hence they can work on this.

I liked the Placements, companies visiting campus, rich alum base, professors and campus life is pretty vibrant.
The clubs and commites provide ample amount of KT sessions and help us in getting prepared for the summers as well as finals.
The fests and cultural events are worth attending as they are filled with exciting opportunities.

Dislikes

Campus size not that large, It can be extended.
Internet and infrastructure need to be updated.
No night canteen for students, Subsidised food for students in canteen is not there

Admission:

I got admission via IIFT's exam where for general the cutoff was somewhere around 98%ile for Delhi Campus and 96%ile for Kolkata Campus. The application was available on IIFT's official website which remains active for around 4 months i.e from Sep to Dec. It costs around 3K for general students opting for MBA-IB. Eligibility - Minimum 3 years UG program from a recognized institute with 50% minimum score. Admission Process - After shortlists is released the interview slots gets open for candidates to book their timing.In the first step there is Extempore(2 mins) majorly on geopolitics and global economic changes and some recent tech-based topics, Second step is of Interview by 2 panelists one will be responsible for technical questions and the other for HR questions

Admission:

I took the IIFT exam last year, in which I had a GDPI followed by an extempore, and then I had a final interview. This year, they are considering CAT examination to get into IIFT. Eligibility is a person should have a degree. Work experience would be a plus. the form can be found on iift website.

IIFT- THE DREAM PLACE FOR MBA ASPIRANTS

The college was entirely student driven, and give a scope of maximum personal and professional development.
The college had collaborations with various other universities, enabling effective networking with professionals.
The curriculum was prudential and practical, there were numerous live projects, and organising committee participations available.

Dislikes

The hostels were a bit far from the institute, so that created a bit of difficulty.
There was a bit of red tapism involved in the processes, that could have been improved.
The infrastructure could have been some what better.

Admission:

The eligibility of this course is that the candidate has a minimum of 50% in graduation for the general category, and 45 % for the SC/ST category. The admission is through an aptitude-based entrance exam called the IIFT entrance exam. From the year 2023, IIFT has started considering CAT as the entrance exam. You have to separately register for IIFT once you receive your CAT enrollment ID after filling CAT form. The IIFT registration portal is given on its official website. The application fee is 3000 Rs for the general candidates and 1500 Rs for the SC/ST candidates. For application dates, remember to visit the website in September-October. Also, follow the official pages of IIFT on Instagram and LinkedIn. The admission process was smooth and optimal.

The Honest One

Likes

Teaching curriculum, the subjects taught and the faculty.
The diversity of students and the foreign student exchange program offered.
The placements are also a factor in joining this institute.

Dislikes

The size of the campus is not that big for the name the institute has built.
The food is quite average and lot can be done to improve it.

Admission:

The IIFT admission process involved a written exam that consisted of 4 sections, quants, logical reasoning & data interpretation, English, and general knowledge. The exam cut-off was around the 50 percentile and the people who qualified went for the interview round then a composite score was formed which decided the final shortlist of students.

Likes

I personally like that how here there are lot of networking opportunities available. Alumni of the college visit in various events and in certain you get to connect with them at personal level. They even also come as guest in first week to guide us.
Faculties here are also brilliant. The teaching pedagogy and curriculum is well structured. And the live project opportunities are also great.
Final thing I like is that there are lots of student driven communities.

Dislikes

The one thing that could be better is the food in hostels.
The college doesn't have proper ground for sports activity.
And also the infrastructure is bit old. Such as our auditorium seats and projector could be better,

We had an IIFT's entrance exam. I scored 98.7 percentile but in general, cut off is near 85 percentile. After this, we got the shortlist and we had an interview based on the scores we got the final shortlist of the campus for which we were shortlisted.

I took the IIFT entrance exam. Got around 96 percentile. Then there was the Extempore and PI round. All information was available on the website. I come from an EWS background so got that quota. The improvement I would suggest should be that the results came really late and the process could have been faster or time to time clarity should be given to the students.

The score on the IIFT test is a big part of how the final list of converts is made. But how well you do on the WAT-GD-PI is also very important. GWPI usually has 30–40% weight, which includes points for intellectual and gender diversity. Still, a 99-percentile student has an advantage over a 95-percentile student, but GWPI can change the game.
WAT & GD: How you use these 3–4 weeks until the process starts will have a big impact on how well you do. In IIFT GD, everyone gets a chance to talk, and it lasts 30–40 minutes. So you can't blame the noise that people made during GD for keeping you from speaking.

PI: Panellists do not have your IIFT entrance test scores/ percentiles. So, they are not biased and already have a good opinion of people who are in the top 1%. Before coming into the room, everyone is the same to them. Do, among other things, fill out your CV form inside and out.

Data Interpretation in Calculation has huge tables.
Time is limited 2 hours in which you need to solve 120 sums

The IIFT Delhi MBA CAT Cutoff is 95-96 percentile. This is the expected cutoff percentile depending upon the 2023 cutoffs. The General category expected cutoff percentile is 98 and the EWS Cutoff percentile is 96.
