AIIMS Rishikesh, A beautiful campus medical college located in the holy city of Rishikesh.

Likes

Central library has ample amount of books and journals.
All the major festivals are celebrated in the campus.
All the faculties are well qualified, experienced and takes intrest in teaching. Faculties also help students in research activities.

Dislikes

Mess food is not up to the mark but tiffin services are available in rishikesh.
Rishikesh is not a big town. Though daily necessities are available at walking distance
Hostels are not that good and single rooms are provided only in 2nd/3rd year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is nicely designed to prepare us for real world application which includes patient care, administrative and teaching roles. At MBBS level we are well trained to take care at primary level. There should be more and early clinical exposure and instead of PowerPoint presentations, there should be more clinical postings. There are exams after every 2 to 3 months ,which is a good frequency considering the vast syllabus of medical science. Difficulty level is moderate. The examination pattern is 50 percent multiple choice questions and 50 percent subjective/written answers.

Campus life unveiled : A review of AIIMS DELHI

Likes

The total area of aiims delhi campus is with well maintained colleges buildings ,laboratories,computer laboratries library.hostel facility in aiims is very good .the campous has multiple badminton court a gym and various basketball,volleyball .
Aiims provide us many sports activites and conduct sport day. and also provide merit cum base schoolarship to the students
the infrastructure is very good it has an auditorium as well where functions of the college are conducted. and awareness research programs are also conducted their in the JLN auditorium

Dislikes

a very demanding and extensive syllabus and heavy workload.
occasionally concerned about the mess facility .
limited free time and amount of stipened is not that good

It provides a strong foundation in nursing practice with a focus on current medical advancements, making it one of the top choces for nursing education in india students often praise the well structured syllabus experienced faculty and extensive clinical exposure.

Likes

Wonderful infrastructure, Scenic and most peaceful campus in the lap of mountains and Ganges river.
Excellent research opportunities along with strong research alumni background
Plenty of extra curricular life and opportunities to expand your hobbies along with an amazing annual fest.

Dislikes

As a city rishikesh can be much small with negligible night life
Poor patient load compared to other top state colleges.
While most faculties are determined in their teaching, some still stick to reading slides.

I chose MBBS primarily due to my interest in joining the healthcare workforce and to further my knowledge about the human body, in which I'm particularly interested about. The curriculum is very apt and based on clinical knowledge. The practical classes held are useful in learning and mastering clinical skills to become skilled diagnosticians. Areas of improvement could be removing the obsolete topics from the subjects which are no longer relevant or required in the clinical world. Apart from 4 exams each year. Several small tests are held after completion of a portion of a syllabus monthly. Difficulty level is moderate and one can easily pass by studying 2-3 days before the tests.

PRESTIGIOUS COLLEGE AIIMS RISHIKESH

The infrastructure is obviously very good , considering it a national institute. Everything is amidst nature and very close to nature considdring river ganges flowing just outside the main gate.
Campus life is good to moderate as there are not too much facilities as compared to AIIMS Delhi or IITs . There is no fruit shop inside campus ( though under construction since many years) but there is a lot of social interactions
Faculties are very good and experts in their respective fields. Though the teaching methods are not very good and solely and only depends upon your interest . You have to show interest and go to faculty by your own to learn something. No spoon feedin

Dislikes

Though there are many facilities on paper, only a few works
The work culture here is very toxic in some departments.
The administration here is too controlling and poses many restrictions in too many ways. Sometimes you feel you are struck and not independent as an adult

The cirriculum is very much practical and requires much of practical knowledge apart from theoretical knowledge which is different from many other courses.The course prepares us for many many many difficult situations as cam be seen from vastness and length of the course . Also medicine is very vast and requires a lot of patience . Also , it must be clear to most of you , how difficult and lengthy it is to acquire a personality of a doctor.

Very good college and campus

Likes

Very good environment and college campus is nice
The atmosphere of rishikesh city is also good
There is proper celebration function on every festival

Dislikes

College timings are not good as much we want
Not college but MBBS course is tough so we have to work hard for getting pass
Rishikesh is very far from my city in distance

AIIMS Rishikesh MBBS Student Review

I am having an excellent academic experience at AIIMS Rishikesh. It has expert faculties and doctors to educate and train MBBS students. It also has an extensive alumni network.
Co-curricular activities are well appreciated secondary to academic. For this we have various clubs for music, singing, dance, cycling, book reading, research, etc.
This institute also provides sports facilities like badminton, cricket, football, lawn tennis, basketball, volleyball etc.

Dislikes

Sports facilities should be expanded. Sports complex should be built.
New hostels should be built. Old hostel should be renovated.
Separate block/building should be made for practical skills, research laboratories etc.

Placement Experience:

After completion of course, 1 year compulsory internship(stipend given) is offered by the college. After completion of internship, one can practice medicine as a primary health care physician/ medical officer, or he/she can given INICET/ NEET PG to get admission into a MD/MS course. Some people give USMLE to practice medicine in US. Some people go to civil services after completing their MBBS. Thus, there are various options available after MBBS.

AIIMS Rishikesh: Pros and Cons

Likes

The faculty over here are great. The infrastructure is one of its own kind. The campus is also huge.
And what to speak about the weather of Rishikesh. It is truly one of the greatest that I have witnessed
Also a person can connect to his/her spiritual side in rishikesh

Dislikes

The departments are pretty strict regarding the 75% attendance criteria
Girls don’t have that much freedom regarding their hostel timings
Lack of shops that provide daily need items inside campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

As everyone knows MBBS is one of the best courses that a person can pursue. As being a doctor is one of the most noble professions in the world and MBBS provides a gateway to becoming a doctor. The curriculum is very accurate and tries to make it as much clinically oriented as possible

Course are very beneficial for us and our society. Learning from AIIMS rishikesh are awesome experience. Whole 4.5 years are very important for aspect of study and one year internship give us experience with handling with patient.

Very good infrastructure the building here are really attractive and provides a next level feel when you enter inside or ecen when you seee it from outside it looks gorgeous
Education quality is very good and professors take the classes very seriously and delicately
The environment around the college is best and we can say that it's the best setting in which AIIMS Rishikesh is located

Dislikes

Hostels especially boys hostel are not well
In boys hostel rooms are too small and have to be shared means there is twin sharing of rooms making it difficult to adjust
Mess is fine but can be improved further

Course is relevant but needs to be made comprehensive and remove all the unwanted topics which are the part of syllabus but don't have nay relevance with the real clinical practice. Overall comprehensiveness can be increased
