AIIMS RISHIKESH- all you need to know about the college

Likes

We got to celebrate almost all festivals here. The annual fest *pyrexia* is also pretty good.
The exam pattern is mcq and theory both . That makes life a little easier . We also have a practice of both writing and choosing
Since it is AIIMS, i need not to much focus on the expertise of our faculties. Regular tests held helps us to be on track though sometimes it becomes tough to manage syllabuses

Dislikes

The college is not located in a metropolitian city so you wont be able to enjoy the city life
The clubs here are not very active . The campus culture here is a bit study centric

MBBS is every Neet aspirant's dream. It was mine too. The OPD postings is the best way to learn medicine as per my opinion. The postings should be held more religiously I feel as it is the real method that makes us ready for the outer world

Life in AIIMS Rishikesh

Likes

Environment- The environment over here is very calm and serene.
Campus- The campus is huge and u get various grounds and court for the sports
Academics- The academics is absolutely great, the faculties and labs etc

Dislikes

City- Rishikesh as a city is not developed that much. U dont have much things to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is well prepared and designed by the CLG. They teach u all the necessary knowledge and skills required for a mbbs graduate. One major improvement could have been on the timings- it is 9 to 5, it could have been 9-2, it is very hectic to stay till 5

Sex ratio is not quite well in Aiims Rishikesh.
It has a great value because itvis the institute of national importantance

MBBS is a course that makes a person doctor.So this course is baseline for healthcare system.Doctors are needed everywhere.we have clinical postings along with theory classes.so we get to know the clinical aspect of our knowledge also.

Some facts about AIIMS Rishikesh

Likes

The greenery and the nature here is adorable.
The academic is very good . Teachers are nice not that good.
Labs are well equipped. Have lastest technology.

Dislikes

Boys to girls ratio this year is 3:1.that is worst as compare to previous batches
Hostel are not that good .Rooms are conjusted.
There are 2 students in a room and you can't put an extra table in room beyond 2 beds.

Although Course is little tensed but if you study on the regular basis .You can easily pass out exams with good grades .Now we have changed the curriculum and now we have vivas on weekly basis and it helps us in grabbing things easily.

AIIMS Rishikesh college overview

Likes

Campus life is amazing. College is in the lap of nature itself . The ambience is serene and quite soothing.
Faculties are great and stalwart in their fields and the same time humble enough to cater to all your academic doubts and difficulties.
College infrastructure is quite good . Good sports facilities are available for volleyball, basketball and badminton.

Dislikes

1st year hostels are not upto the mark .Too small room to accommodate 2 people at the same time
Less ground for outdoor games like football and only single for cricket
Overall city life is not that compelling.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Academics here are quite rigorous and one has to study religiously to sail through exams .Curriculum is almost the same as covered in other medical colleges or other AIIMS . Pre clinical and para clinical subjects are taught with clinical application.

equipments are in good condition and available for each student
academic block of the hospital and its design
the surrounding area around the campus easily caters to all the needs

Dislikes

condition of the hostels and room sizes
condition of the public washrooms and unhygienic conditions
interaction with the senior processors and staff

medical field is very interesting but vast. the practical classes are very helpful and relevant in dealing with the actual patients this curriculum has developed an incredible tolerance to stress, planning skills and complex tasks which helps in every day tasks too

I choose this career out of pure dream without any interest in the subject. The main problem with the course is the wide variety of books. There should be some standard books for the course which are easily accessible to all students

The college is equipped with well functional labs
The college has separate ground for separate sports
The college has its own fest which is held every year

Dislikes

The mess fee is slightly on higher side than expected
The boys hostels are not much well painted.
The girls have a restricted timing of around 12 am.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Here the curriculum is very much strict with very few holidays in between. In normal days we have classes from 9 to 5pm in the evening. In addition to that we have regular opd and ward posting to boosten our clinical exposure.
