- Here the faculty is very nice they are ready help when students need there help
- Here placements is so good and many top companies are approaching to the college students here having good opportunity for the placements average placements is about 13lakhs per annual combining all branches
- Many scholarships like fcc, nsp and others are student welfare related and do help the students alot.
Dislikes
- Scholarship are there for weak section of society.. my fees is somewhat between 140000 to 150000 years as i didn't receive any scholarship or anything.
- The hostel facility is not that great, there is a food problem in terms of taste and water problem in terms of hygiene, there are some issues with the internet also.
- The attendance criteria is really strict and the behaviour of the professors are not good

- The Hostel Mess quality was good as comapre to other which I experienced earlier days . They provide both Veg and Non-Veg food as per need. Sneaks are also good
- Professors are good and supportive towards our need anr future goals. And provide proper guidence to us
- Seniors are also very polite and help towards our needs and support also. They also give us proper guidence to us
Dislikes
- We have maintain a attendance criteria of 75% in claases for the appearence in the upcoming exams.
- We have our classe from 8:00 am morning to the 5:00pm in evening . It was very heptic shedule for us to maintain our daily routine
- The facilities in the classes are very old and not advanceed as compare to todays tecchnologies
Placement Experience:
There was decent placement records in college with an average of10 lakh . Here 7 and 8 semester students are eligible for placements. Companies like L&T, TCS, Mahindra, and many more. Highest package of last year 55 lakh of EI department

- Availability of different sports facilities.
- Helpful Seniors and a network of teachers with huge achievements.

- The infrastructure of the college is too outdated.
- Lack of surrounding facilities outside the campus.
Placement Experience:
Very big giants like Nvidia, Amazon, Google, Oracle, Tata motors, HP and a huge number of other companies visit the college in the placement season. There is a very my placement ratio. I am most likely to take a job after completion of the course

- Gate of our college is not good and pond and lake of our college in not clean.
Course Curriculum Overview:
In reality my rate for college course curriculum is very good according to me and many other students. The course curriculum is highly relevant and comprehensive, effectively covering essential topics with a balance of theoretical and practical knowledge. It aligns well with current industry standards, fostering critical thinking and skill development. However, periodic updates could enhance its relevance in evolving fields.

- Faculties of NIT Silchar are very experienced and they are very knowledgeable. They guide students in every aspect .
- Hostel rooms of college are somehow large not too large but not small like hostels of IIT's. They accommodate 2 peoples in a single room which is good and provides a positive environment for study.
- The library of nit is very big and has fabulous infrastructure. Central library has a lots of books of every domain .
Dislikes
- The things I dislike the most about college is the food of mess. Mess food is very bad in taste also students found some insects in the food sometimes.
- Infrastructure of the college can be made better, but it is not good being an institute of national importance
- Labs of the college is not good it contains very old instruments.
Placement Experience:
students are eligible to take part in placement from 3rd year onwards.
Companies like Microsoft, Deloitte, Accenture, Amazon, Oracle visited the campus for placements.
Total 692 students were placed in year 2023 out of total 837 students.
Almost 82% of the students were placed in some company.
After completing my degree i am planning to aspire for government job i dont want to work in private companies.

- College place is so beautiful, every day we will see a new and beautiful views of clouds, sunsets, and mountains views
- Faculty are too talented and experienced, every faculties are iitian
- Infrastructure is bit good but need improvement,
Dislikes
- Outside of nit Silchar not good not developed,
- If anything wants we should travel 7km for fresh food, items
- Transportation is also too slow, and items cost is High
Course Curriculum Overview:
I interested in technology and automation that's why I opt electronic.
It should start more lab practices
There is a good thing, in lab smart board is available.
We should have less time to cover whole syllabus on time because many events held. We are busy in that events.

- Big enough campus good for most needs and can cater all needs of sports and academics
- Campus has a very asthetic appeal with 22 lakes and even tea garden, all this to roam around the campus
- Placement of college is also very good for branches like CS and ECE and average for rest branches
Dislikes
- The girls is to boys ratio is not good in my class of 86 students there are only 22 girls
- Faculty teaching is just average and need improvement atleast for 1 year students
- Infrastructure of college including building and roads need improvement
Placement Experience:
In my college students become eligible for campus placement after 6 semester.
There are my companies including private and government.
Companies including google, microsoft,adobe,TCS, mahindra and others
Highest package in my branch (electrical)was about 53 lpa last year and average about 8lpa.
The percentage placements is about 70 percent.
My plan is to first try for campus placement and if not the go for government exams

- The campas is good and beautiful . With over 20 lakes .
- Teachers are good and helpful ofcourse not all .
- Placements statics is good and expected to improve more in future .
Dislikes
- Some Professors are very miser in giving marks .
- Some teacher want the same method of answering quetion which they thought in class.
- Mess food deterorids day by day until MMC team presurrise them to make good food
Placement Experience:
Students get placemnt from the 7th semesters. The placement percentage is good is with arou d 80-85% . And the average pakage is 13.6 lpa 2023 data. The cse average pakeage is 18lpa and ece average package is 14lpa electronics average package is 14lpa and mechanical average pakage is 10lpa
The highest mechanical pakge is 22lpa and for cse it is 52 lpa.
I am from Mechanical. My plan is to give gate

- The hostels are good with good mess facility.
- The library of our college is 1st biggest digital library.
- The campus is also so nice having so greenery with buity.
Dislikes
- The auditorium is old so it not so nice.
- The classroom for 1st year and 2nd year is not so good
- Our college is not situated in a big city.
Placement Experience:
In the top branches the placement ratio is good but in case of lower branches the placement facility can't reach our expectations. But our college is far better than the other college in case of placement.

- Faculty that explains in that a good manner and good understanding.They can also explain even personly
- Transport facility from hostel to classes and campus to city

- Some discrimination among students about region and category, language etc
- Class that contains around 80 members is very overload for faculty and students because it effects the interaction between both
- Lack of quality of infrastructure in classes but just small update needed

The course curriculum is good i think that has a plan that is good for teaching and understanding by students and that includes plan for preparation of students for maintenance of good performance and cgpa

- Diverse student community - Since it is a national institute students come from all over India .
- placement opportunities are good - NIT Silchar gives good placement opportunities for the graduating students .
- Research opportunities - Nit silchar gives good research facilities to the students.
Dislikes
- The location of NIT silchar is remote therefore there are some difficulties in transportation.
- The weather of nit silchar is quite hot due to high humidity.
- Since Nit silchar is an old nit of india that's why it's infrastructure is not that much good as compared to other new nits.
Course Curriculum Overview:
There are 6 branches in nit silchar ,those are CSE ,ECE,EIE,EE,ME and CE .
In the 1st year the course curriculum of CSE,ECE and EE is same while EIE,ME and EE have same curriculum . In 1st year students have to study basic introduction programming(C language), chemistry , Evs , physics , Basic electrical engineering , mechanics , maths , engineering drwaing , basic electronics , communicative english , mechanical workshop etc.
