- The tech fests are very good and the profs are good as well
- Our clg placements stats are pretty good all top companies like, google, microsoft, amazon, etc.
- The hostel and food at iiith are better than at other colleges in india.
Dislikes
- The schedule is quite hectic .there will be many assignment deadlines on the same day . assignments are sometimes very difficult which needs topics which we have never been taught till . also plagiarism checks sucks as they are not always correct.
- The mess food not up to the mark and some times it wont be nice.
- 85% Attendance Criteria: Its compulsory for students to have atleast 85% attendance in all the subjects or else suffer from grade drops.

Good teachers and infrastructure, i had friends in that college, the college is in a good environment and is very close to the IT hub in Pune i.e. Hinjewadi. The college also has a good placement and training cell.

Placement Experience:
3rd-year students are allowed for internship and 4th year for placements. Highest package is 84 lakhs for last year and avg is 20-22 lakhs depending on the branch. 100 percent placements and many people get foreign campus ms and PhD offers

Remarks:
I've covered most of the stuff. No more no less. IIIT Hyderabad is a unique journey for CS students. The holy grail only 200 students annually are eligible for it. The competition is top notch here and it comparable to the top 5 IITs.

Positive: Amazing Location, Great Coding Culture, Great Research Culture
Negative: Sports facilities could be better. We do have tennis courts, basketball courts, badminton courts, cricket pitch. But we want a football court with a lawn, a swimming pool and a better gym.

Admission:
Admission is by JEE MAIN mode. I scored 847 rank in MAINS, so I was admitted to this college. There is no interview it is purely based on MAINS rank. Also, there are more admission modes like from Olympiads, and SPEC mode.

Positives are academics and encouraging students to take up research. Negatives are hectic academic schedule and often stressful situations regarding academics. Students get less time to indulge themselves in the other activities when compared to the other colleges.

The academics is highly enriching here but sometimes it can get a bit hectic hence one needs to manage his time efficiently here. Also extracurriculars are not very developed here owing to the high academic load but obviously if someone manages his time efficiently he can get involved in extracurriculars too.

IIIT's curriculum is similar to IIT after which it has been designed. Under this curriculum, you have to complete all compulsory CS courses within 2 years and then you are open to explore a field of your choice through electives in the 3rd and 4th year. A few common electives include VISION, NLP, CSTAR, and many others. Some students use their free time to prepare for their Master, publish undergrad papers, and then move abroad for Masters. Others can be seen targeting an MBA. Consider the following things before making the final decision
- Placement trends over the past few years
- Curriculum especially the compulsory courses
- Number of research papers from undergrads
- Fee structure
- Campus Culture
Overall, IIIT Hyderabad is an excellent choice considering its rich research culture in comparison to IIT Guwahati.
