The tech fests are very good and the profs are good as well
Our clg placements stats are pretty good all top companies like, google, microsoft, amazon, etc.
The hostel and food at iiith are better than at other colleges in india.

Dislikes

The schedule is quite hectic .there will be many assignment deadlines on the same day . assignments are sometimes very difficult which needs topics which we have never been taught till . also plagiarism checks sucks as they are not always correct.
The mess food not up to the mark and some times it wont be nice.
85% Attendance Criteria: Its compulsory for students to have atleast 85% attendance in all the subjects or else suffer from grade drops.

IIIT-Worst OR Best

Likes

Placements of IIIT are best and comes in par with IITs
Workspace setup provided in the campus. Workspace setup is similar to office setup.
Research. IIIT is known for its research in AI and ML

Dislikes

College life. There is no college life in IIIT> Come if you want are willing to study very hard
Mess Food. Pathetic, sometimes people become ill due to mess food
Very Hard studies.- IIIT will kill you in matter of studies

Placement Experience:

From 4th year you are eligible to seat for placements however you can opt for PPOs if companies select you. You can apply for internship from any year. COmpanies like Google, Meta, Apple , Qualcomm, Intel , Microsoft do visit this companies. COllege maintains 100% placement record. My plans containg begining a startup.

College Life at IIIT HYDERABAD? Is it good enough?

Likes

Workspace which is area where students can study and discuss about whatever they want and it is open 24/7
Placements are the best in iiit Hyderabad
College fest: felicity is one of the most hyped event in our college

Dislikes

Too much focus on studies and students don't get much free time
Bathroom in hostels seems to be very unhygienic
Laundry service is very costly and they don't even wash it themselves

Placement Experience:

The students became eligible for placements in 4th year and I don't know much details about other things as I have recently started my first years but I know that companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon,apple etc visit our college for hiring.

Life at IIITH

Likes

Very good coding culture in college and helpfull seniors
As campus is small there is very good bonding between people
Excellent placement and intership programmes

Dislikes

Academics are a bit stressful,because of many assignments a week
Lack of extra-curricular activities in college
Mandatory sports and some subjects like value education,arts which waste a good percent of time of student

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose ece because I was interested in robotics and stuff. Also there is great scope in chip development in future.Scope of ece branch is increasing day by day.There is a 60:1 student teacher ratio.All the faculties are very experienced ranging from 10-15 yrs . Exams were of good level but u can get a good score if u start a week before exams and if u complete ur assignments regularly.

Hostel toilets are cleaned everyday and hostel is well maintained
Placements in IIIT H are comparable with top IITs
The coding culture in IIIT H is at par with IIT Bombay

7th sem students are eligible for campus placements.Dual degree and Pg students can also apply if they are in their final year.Highest domestic pakage is around 75 lakhs and average domestic package is 32 lakhs for CSE and 45 and 28 for ECE branch . College has 100% placement record.

i liked the hostel experience at IIITH .it would a great life if you would geta chance to live a hostel life here
other thing i liked is the workspace like when you are not able to concentrate in your room you can move to the workspace which is probably a km distance from hostel which is AC centrailized and have wi-fi connections also
the third thing i liked about the environment i am getting here like interacting with our seniors and have the opportunity to learn more and can learn mistakes what the have done as a student so that we wont repeat it

Dislikes

i disliked about the curiculum like it is so tough for a new admission to handle such a pressure in their first year like you have quizes mid sem then end sem every month and there are no holiday in between except sunday and festivals
other thing would be probably the less campus area
i dont think i have the third option to say anything i dont like about it...

One is eligible for campus placements from the third year on. Some of the companies to visit are Qualcomm, Microsoft, Google, Nvidia, Uber, Unacademy, and JP Morgan. The highest package offered to the CSE people is 74 lpa and for ECE it would be around 65 lpa but for the MS programme, it would be 102 cr annually from the CSD branch. There is a 100 percent placement ratio.

A student is eligible for pre-placement offers in the third year and for placement drives in the final year. Some of the companies that have visited the college are Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, Flipkart, Qualcomm, IBM, Texas Instruments and Goldman Sachs. For ECE, the highest package offered was 47 LPA and the average was 29 LPA. The placement record of the college is 100%.

The exposure and the culture that we get to experience
The facilities we get related to our course and all the efforts our seniors make to make our life better at IIIT.

Dislikes

Very intensive curriculum if you try to be lazy you are gonna be doomed

Placement Experience:

I don't know about the semester but for btech students, it is in the final year i.e. the fourth year and for dual degree students it is in the 5th year. Many companies come including Qualcomm, Apple, Microsoft, Google, etc. almost 100% of students get placed.

IIIT-Hyderabad: College with the great research opportunities

Likes

The peer group and the support of the seniors.
Research facilities and opportunities to interact with best faculties and discuss your idea.
The festival celebration and the campus placements.

Dislikes

The smaller area of 60 acres with less space.
Canteens can have more options with various dishes.

Placement Experience:

For a single degree, students in 4th year are eligible for campus placements, and dual degree students can sit in their 5th year. The campus placements are 100% till now and the package details can be found on the official website of the college. The average package can vary around 15 to 20 LPA and the highest package is more than 50 LPA(excluding the off-campus data). I will suggest seeing the data from the official website of the college Companies visited are Microsoft, Google, Samsung, Texas Instruments, and more than 30 bigger companies (or even more). I would like to sit for placements and get my dream job.

Likes

campus location is one of the best things here.
due to 4 messes in our campus we have variety of foods from which we can choose what we want to eat.
we dont have any curfew timings, we have independance here.

Dislikes

here academics is kinda hectic and everybody is just hussling to get good grades.
they dont provide us in campus internships.
fees is comparitively on the higher side.

Placement Experience:

When single-degree students start their 7th sem they are eligible for placements, placements start around December. Our clg placements stats are pretty good All top companies like, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, etc. visit our campus and people get hired with very high packages.

Challenging and Fun

Placement Experience:

Placements here are quite fantastic. From the 7th semester onwards you are eligible for the placements and officially the placements occur in the month of December for the final year students. Companies that visit include Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, Walmart, Rubrik, Tower Research Capital, etc. It depends on companies to companies how much they hier, but generally, each company takes around 10-15 students. The highest package offered last year was around 56L for SDE and an average was around 30L for SDE only. Almost 100% of students get placed. As I have already got the PPO at Salesforce, so I will be joining the company after my graduation.

IIIT's curriculum is similar to IIT after which it has been designed. Under this curriculum, you have to complete all compulsory CS courses within 2 years and then you are open to explore a field of your choice through electives in the 3rd and 4th year.
