- It offers a great placement after the course completion, companies like microsoft, amazon google, flipkart and other companies like goldman sachs come to recruit new freshers in their companies and even offer internships as well.
- The fests conducted in our college are worth enjoying and marvelous talent is encouraged.
- No fees hike policy.cost to study is a bit high for a government organisation but it's worth it.scholarship opportunities financial assistance and job opportunities are very satisfactory over here.
Dislikes
- The scholarship availability should not be below 5 lakh.. it should be a larger number beacuse 5 lakh income is lower income than a lower middle class family.
- The faculty advisor is a very rude and strict person who doesn't understand the student's problems.
- Placements for lower branches are not that good and being a remote area more companies are not coming to college

- The professors are really helpful. But, one has to put efforts and also approach them.
- Seniors guide properly and are also very helpful.
- There are a vast number of clubs here and can learn a lot just than academics.

- Frequent power cuts, especially a night before the examination.
- Food is not good in the hostels. Which is the same story everywhere I guess.
- The climate is very much extreme. Extreme winters(3-4 degree celsius) and extreme summers(45 degree celsius).

- Nit rourkela is a mind blowing place for learning along with whole development. During the weekends you can utilize most of time in playgrounds
Course Curriculum Overview:
I chose this course for b.tech.
faculty: student ratio is 10%.
All faculties are qualified teachers he did his Ph.D. course. And the teaching method is well.
The term exam is done at his proper time. And if I study properly the easy to pass.

- Huge campus so, almost all facilities are available.
- The classrooms are quite good as its a smart ons.
- There is greenery everywhere so it is a good environment to live.
Dislikes
- The food quality in the campus is pathetic.
- Mostly the available accessories available in the campus has a high price comparing to the outside.
- The professors are not so interactive that we can clear all of our doubts at once. vl
Course Curriculum Overview:
From the beginning, I was interested in an engineering degree and furthermore, when I saw this Institute in my hometown, it became the definite option for me. There are in total around 10 subs including the practical and accordingly profs are allotted. For some particular subjects which include sub-division, more than one facility was allotted. They are highly qualified from most institutions and taught as I'm the very easy way. The examination was not so easy to pass it's a bit difficult to score.

- culture and campus life - I've learnt a lot about life, how to deal with situations, about different cultures, difference between good and bad.

- Attendance - it has so much rules which at times is a problem
- Leaves - not much to spend time with family

The placements at our college are absolutely the best, Our students have been consistently securing top-notch job offers from renowned companies like Microsoft, Google, Adobe, ADP, One plus, Samsung, Leo force, Brillio, service Now, Accenture, Capgemini, Deloitte, Infosys, TCS, etc.
The placement cell works tirelessly to connect our talented students with the best opportunities out there. The feedback from recruiters has been overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the skills and knowledge of our graduates.
More than 100 companies visited, all were placed with many offers, highest is 40 lpa and average is 7 lpa placed in all branches. 100 % placements for all students.
I also got placed with 10 LPA in a renowned company.

- Too much competition among peers which is actually a bitter truth
Placement Experience:
It offers a great placement after the course completion, companies like Microsoft, amazon google, Flipkart and other companies like Goldman Sachs come to recruit new freshers in their companies and even offer internships as well. The highest offer package is that of Microsoft giving 40LPA yet. almost 95 per cent of the people get placed in it

- 85 percentage attendance policies and hectic schedules
- If anyone gets a fever it is very difficult to get a doctor appointment
Placement Experience:
From 3rd year onwards students become eligible for campus placements. good companies like Microsoft, Google, Atlassian, and amazon came here for campus placements for core branches Gail, ExxonMobil, ONGC etc come here for direct requirements. total approx 1000+ offers made to 900 students in total. The highest package is 83lpa on campus Atlassian and avg package is around 11 lpa. About 85% of students are placed.
My plans are simple I am also opting for placements.

Placement Experience:
Students are eligible to sit in campus placements from the 7th semester. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft, google, Qualcomm, Intel, wells Fargo, American express, texas instruments, Oracle, Samsung, Barclays, bajaj auto, tata steel, and many others visit the campus. So far the highest package offered is around 51 lakh rupees per year and the average package is around 12 lakhs per year. More than 90% of computer science students are being placed in the past few years. I personally want to have an industry experience for 1 or 2 years after my degree and then I want to pursue my MBA.

Placement Experience:
As NIT ROURKELA is one of the best technical institutes in India and 3rd best in NITs many top companies visit here for placements and internships.
In 3rd year we have internship opportunities from many companies with good stipends. These are summer internships which will be for 2 months. The selection process is similar to the placements. If we perform well enough in the internship PPO will be offered.
In the 4rth year placement season starts.
In the last placement season over 900+ offers were given. The average CTC for CSE is 16 LPA, and for others, it is 12 LPA.
In CSE Placement percentage is 100%.
After my degree, I don't have any plans for higher studies. So I will go with my placement.

From the 5th semester, you are eligible for internships, and based on your performance in the internship period you will be offered PPO and from 7th semester you are eligible for placements and Top companies like Microsoft, Amazon, AWS, Wells Fargo, Oracle, SAP Labs, Texas Instruments, Mathworks, etc come for hiring and Highest CTC on campus is around 52 Lakhs offered by AWS. Almost 80-85% of students will be placed and some students plan for higher studies based on their interests.

At the start of 4th year(7th semester) companies start to come to campus for recruitment. The highest package was 56 lac and the average is 20lac. And placement percentage of the CSE branch is 100%.
Companies come for different profiles like software and core.

A friend at NIT Rourkela gave me a detailed review of her college the last time she visited me. Here are some highlights from her descriptive experience
- NIT Rourkela has a huge, serene, and well-secured campus.
- The institute has diverse clubs that promote extracurricular activities and their performance is better than most clubs of other engineering colleges.
- Decent Internet speed is offered and the Dc++ is well maintained.
- The hostels are well-maintained and decked with all the basic amenities one could ask for.
- Students are actively involved in sports such as gymming and swimming.
- The faculties are a mixed bag. Some are underqualified and lethargic while some motivate you to become a better person.
- The institute boasts of an extensive entrepreneurship culture.
- The institute needs to work on increasing its alumni base and the level of fests it organizes given the huge income the institute generates.
- The placement scenario varies from branch to branch. It's decent for branches like CS while pathetic for others.
- Rourkela does not have any places to explore and also lacks flight connectivity.
- The city of Rourkela is one of the cleanest places so hygiene is not an issue here.
