- It offers a great placement after the course completion, companies like microsoft, amazon google, flipkart and other companies like goldman sachs come to recruit new freshers in their companies and even offer internships as well.
- The fests conducted in our college are worth enjoying and marvelous talent is encouraged.
- No fees hike policy.cost to study is a bit high for a government organisation but it's worth it.scholarship opportunities financial assistance and job opportunities are very satisfactory over here.
Dislikes
- The scholarship availability should not be below 5 lakh.. it should be a larger number beacuse 5 lakh income is lower income than a lower middle class family.
- The faculty advisor is a very rude and strict person who doesn't understand the student's problems.
- Placements for lower branches are not that good and being a remote area more companies are not coming to college

Right now in the challenging world computer science plays a major role in the carrer development.
This course helps in preparing and learning about the programmes and development in the IT sector.
We are having one mid sem and one end sem in the One semister and two semisters in a year.

Placement Experience:
The placement of our college is excellent. 5 th semester students becomes eligible for campus placement. Google, Amazon , Microsoft ,tata, and . highest package of this college 98 lakh per annum according to latest knowledge . Above 95 Percentage of students getting placement and my plans after my degree I want to start up of our own companies.

placement is very good in my branch . its avg is 23lakhs per annum this year other branch students also get good p[lacement if you have good talent ypou can getbeasyly placement here the aversge package of college is 15 lakhs pr annum which is quiet good my plan after getting degree is i will be a good softwear en gineer and try for a internship programme here

- Large green campus . With no ragging policy and very good senior and junior interaction in club
- Lot of opportunity to show your extra talent in sports singing dancing etc
- You will not board in the college campus you will always enjoy the campus and there are outside the campus or lot of restaurant and there you can go for chill your with your friend
Dislikes
- 85% attendance policy and it is very strict
- And also the city is not that developed as compared to Bhubaneswar
- there is too hot in summer ,btw we don't have classes in May and June as it is holiday
Placement Experience:
Our placement is quite good and have the highest package of 82 lpa which is offered to a cs student and btw the average packages in cs is 24 LP while the college of Average package arround 15 lpa.

From second year onwards you are eligible for internship
From the stating of 4th year you can eligible for sitting in placement .
Top companies like Microsoft offered 52 lpa and select 15+ student Amazon also offered 52.89lpa to 8 students
Google also select Some students .. for companies like Disney hotstar and wells Fargo oracle also offered package in our college of so that 100% who are eligible to seat in placement waste on their CG character and all the hundred percent students have selected in the placement time.
As I will graduate from cs I will take job then do MBA for better post.

- Campus -- it is really too big in size and green
- Food -- The food is best , Non-veg and veg both are good
- Class Room-- Big rooms , AC in all class room.
Dislikes
- Attendance rate is here 87 % which is a very big problem
- In Summer it is too much warm . The Temp is up 40
Placement Experience:
NIT Rourkela has one of the best Placement In all over India.
Specially in my branch CSE the avg package offered is 25 LPA to the 19-23 batch
The placement is nearby 100 % in the collage.
And here is a good research opertunity

- Old buildings and hostels that require frequent repair
- Bad quality of mess food with insects and uncooked meal.
- High cost of course fee as compared to other govt colleges
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for campus placement in 7th semester. In addition to this they even get a chance to get internship at the begging of 5th semster. Various companies like Google Microsoft Amazon Towerseach TCS Tatamotors visit the campus

- Campus Infrastruture is amazing, everywhere fresh air with lots of good visuals can be found.
- There are various clubs to facilitate students about their intrests, these clubs also help in their campus placement.
Dislikes
- There is some form of communism between certain groups of people, who creates a language barrier.
- Teaching methodolgy can be improved, its not that bad but still there is room for improvement.
- Meaningful subjects in the first year can be introduced.
Placement Experience:
For Campus Placements , we are eligible after our 6th semester. there are various companies who visit ranging from small startups to big MNC's . Almost all the companies list can be found in the placement brochure which is availabe in our college website.Highest package is around 55lpa and lowest is around 4-5 lpa. Percantage of students getting placed is about 90%. My plans is to get a job and move forward in my career.

The placements ar good where many major coampanies recruite many stustendts like google microsoft and amazon,etc .Where many indian comapnies also come like tata mahindra etc.The highest package was 83 lpa and avarage is 13.89 lpa

- During registration if u get little problem
- then it gonna take a lot time to register and then u will face so many consequences of missing class
- Teaching from faculty is not that good. 90% study by theie own
Placement Experience:
Placement percentage is always more than 98. Average depend upon branch. like for CS its like 14 lpa. Students got eligible for internship from 3rd year and some companies offer to 2nd year also. Placement policy is good. For full time employment (FTE) from your 6th sem end it will start and it will go on till 4th year end + 6 more months. Best companies : Google , Amazon , Myntra , etc. 99% get placements easily.

- Attendance and academic policies are a bit hectic
- If you are from IT background like CSE OR ELECTRONICS you will get ample amount of internship in your third year and the stats are very good like Amazon Microsoft also intern from here. For core there is not much about internship but for mechanical e

Placement Experience:
OnCampus Placement of students is carried out by the Career Development Center of NIT Rourkela. Placements depend on the industry needs and most students are placed in software-based or Analytics and Consultancy Companies. There are a few good opportunities for students applying to Core Companies but they need a good CGPA and sometimes a GATE score to get placed in PSUs.According to last year's placement record, 8 students were offered 52.08 LPA by Amazon Web Service and this was the highest package. The average package is 11.5 LPA for the college and 24 LPA for CSE Department Students. 98% of placement records are in CSE Department

A friend at NIT Rourkela gave me a detailed review of her college the last time she visited me. Here are some highlights from her descriptive experience
- NIT Rourkela has a huge, serene, and well-secured campus.
- The institute has diverse clubs that promote extracurricular activities and their performance is better than most clubs of other engineering colleges.
- Decent Internet speed is offered and the Dc++ is well maintained.
- The hostels are well-maintained and decked with all the basic amenities one could ask for.
- Students are actively involved in sports such as gymming and swimming.
- The faculties are a mixed bag. Some are underqualified and lethargic while some motivate you to become a better person.
- The institute boasts of an extensive entrepreneurship culture.
- The institute needs to work on increasing its alumni base and the level of fests it organizes given the huge income the institute generates.
- The placement scenario varies from branch to branch. It's decent for branches like CS while pathetic for others.
- Rourkela does not have any places to explore and also lacks flight connectivity.
- The city of Rourkela is one of the cleanest places so hygiene is not an issue here.
